Shiv puts his hand to his chin in thought. "hmm, in that case, we should probably leave with all due haste." Yang cheered at the thought. "Wow Shiv! You know a lot of cool words!" Shiv looked disparagingly at the Motimon, but then shrugged the feeling off then turned back to Inori, extending his hand. "So then," He said as cordially as he could, "Shall we?"

Inori nodded, but shifted closer to Wizardmon than Shiv. "Right. Which way, Wizardmon?"
The cloaked digimon glances around briefly, then pointed in one direction with his staff. "This way will probably be the quickest." He paused, then shifted to point his staff in another direction. "But that one will be the safest."
Wizardmon moved to rest his staff against the ground, leaning on it just slightly. "Your choice."
"I...what do you think Shiv?" Inori inquired with a guarded expression on her face.

"I will defer to my own partner on this one." Yang looks stricken and is soon hopping with joy. "Let's go that way!" He shouts, pointing down the fast route. "Well," says Shiv, "There you have it." He starts down the quick path. Yang runs exuberantly after him and hops onto his shoulder, Yin huffs and floats along.

Inori trailed behind a bit, letting Wizardmon walk between herself and Shiv. This all seemed a little too convenient for her tastes. It seemed like something should go wrong...or leap out at them. It was an unsettling feeling...and hadn't Wizardmon implied this path was less safe? Maybe that was what was putting her on edge.
Frowning, Inori picked up her pace to keep closer to Wizardmon. She didn't have to trust him to know that if something did come after them, he would likely be her best defense.
Wizardmon glanced up at his partner as she caught up to him and matched his pace. She said nothing to him, which was fine. He did not need words. Small steps were far better.

Shiv kept moving forwards, Yang on his shoulder. He chose this path because it would give him another look at the monsters of this world. He needed to know more, he needed information! He knew Yang would choose this path. After about fifteen minutes, his patience was rewarded.
A great ruckus broke the relative silence of the forest.
Two huge insects, fighting each other, broke through the underbrush.
"Aiyaaaah!" Cried Yang, "Kuwagamon!Yanamamon! What are the odds!"
Shiv grinned as he dove for cover.
Perfect. he thought, Now we shall see what he can do
Upon landing, Shiv turns to see Wizardmon's reaction.

Wizardmon placed himself between Inori and the fighting Digimon quickly. "We should try and avoid getting their attention." He muttered in a low tone. "If we are lucky we can get around them without their noticing us."
Not bothering to see what Inori's reaction was, Wizardmon slowly started moving to one side. The sound of Inori's footsteps assured him she was following.
Wizardmon frowned to himself. This may make him look weak, but two of them were a little much for him and two digimon that were still in their in-training forms. Inori's safety was his concern far more then trying to impress her.
The cloaked digimon watched the two bugs as he moved, waiting to see if either of them tried to go after him...or her.

The fighting monsters tore through the forest trees, toppling them like toothpicks. Yanmamon unleashed a ferocious beat of his wings, and Kuwagamon fell to the ground... Right in front of the two children. As the dust settled, Kuwagamon's head rose and Shiv knew that he knew they were there.
Kuwagamon took a great roar and then charged!

"Inori, move!" Wizardmon raised his voice, holding his hand out at the charging insect. He caught Inori's movement on his left out of the corner of his eye, meaning she was doing as asked.
"Thunder Ball!" The digimon called out, energy crackling at his fingertips forming a ball of energy. Quickly, Wizardmon launched the electric energy at Kuwagamon, then began moving to the right, hoping to not get trampled should the bug's charge continue.

Kuwagamon takes the attack head on. His path diverted as he crashes into the tree that Shiv was lying in front of. He cries out in shock.

The dust settles. The tree had collapsed. The kuwagamon beneath it. Beneath the kuwagamon, Yang stood in front of Shiv, his hand in the ground, having punched a hole into it. Only it wasn't Yang, or at least, it wasn't Yang the Motimon. He had changed, where once there was a pink blob, now stood a creature made of stone. "Gotsumon!" He shouted. They were safe in the hole, Yin, Yang and Shiv. But those above would have no way of knowing that was the case.

"Get away from there, Shiv!" Wizardmon spoke up again, wincing slightly at what could have been a rather disastrous situation.
Normally, Wizardmon would feel bad for hitting somene while down, but Kuwagamon had made it's intentions clear. The wizard digimon held his hand out again, gathering electric energy for a second attack.
"Thunder Ball!" He repeated, hurling another electric ball at the bug. Something in the back of his mind was nagging at him...he was forgetting something.
"Shiv, over here! If we stick together, it'll probably make it easier on Wizardmon." Inori called out. Wizardmon was silently thankful for this.

Shiv thought he heard something from above. Could it be the others? Not that it mattered, his mon had digivolved, and so he was cool with whatever happened.
Above, the kuwagamon took the repeated thunderball, but trapped beneath the tree, it couldn't move.
The Yanmamon took a hard bank and started to charge Wizardmon!

Wizardmon was preparing to fire another electric attack for Kuwagamon, when he heard Inori yell.
He didn't have the time to recognize what she had said, as Yanmamon collided with the smaller wizard digimon, sending him flying into a tree.
Momentarily paralyzed, Inori watched in horror as the second insect digimon threw her partner into a tree. Wizardmon made pained, irritated sound, shaking his head quickly as if to clear it.
Wizardmon pried his hand loose from the tree and held it before him...waiting to see if Yanmamon came after him again. He had another trick up his proverbial sleeve it seemed.

The Yanmamon banked and came around again, preparing for another charge.
Beneath the Kuwagamon, Shiv and Yang were looking at each other. Shiv is interested in this new form, his mind going through probabilities at what it could do. Yin looked shocked, like he was going to faint. Shiv wasn't sure what it meant, but Yin was blanching, like he was expecting the worst.
Shiv looks back at Yang.
"So what can you do?' He asks.
Yang Starts, his mouth dropping open.
"Not sure." He says.
"Well when I see what you can do, I can figure out how it can be used."
"Used for what? All we do is battle."
"That's just what is expected. I bet there are all sorts of things you can do with weaker attacks."
Yin finally took his attention off of Yang and pondered on this. These were the same thoughts that he himself thought.
"Well," says Shiv, "Let's see what we can do to get out of here."
Yang starts

"Get away from there! It's coming back!" Inori yelled at her partner.
As Yanmamon came closer, Wizardmon grinned slightly.
"Vision of Terror." He muttered, idly wondering what a bug would find terrifying (other then perhaps a giant fly swatter), and hoping that if the insect was not dissuaded by the attack that the tree would take the brunt of some of the blow.
