(at least give me a chance to reply guys =( I had things I wanted to do between my last post and this one...)
Inori, fed up with being ignored turned sharply on her heels and began resuming walking in the direction the group had been going before the in-party fighting had begun.
"Right now, they are more of a hindrance then a help." She stated loudly, mostly so they could hear. "And I don't think I have the patience to babysit right now."
"Babysit?" Wizardmon sounded baffled as he slowly moved to follow his partner. "Why would you sit on babies?"
"Not...not literally. It's really just watching children...though usually you get paid for it." She replied as she continued to walk at a measured pace. She didn't seem to want to ditch them, but she did want them to know she was not very happy about this.
Alchemon wished she would pick up her pace. Ditching the two seemed like a very good idea...and would open up a very nice opportunity for him. Unfortunatly, it did not seem to be something which would happen.

(I blame it on him, but am very sorry anyway. Please don't be too mad. ^.^ He was in the middle of using his superior size to his advantage when something flashed across his field of vision, taking his opponent with it. They landed in a heap to Dante's left, and he looked, seeking contact with his foe once more. What he saw was the other boy getting up with a rock telling him something. The fires of anger burned in his heart, but then he heard that sound again. It seemed so far away, yet so important. He paused for a moment, trying to decide where he'd heard that sound before. Every fiber of his being ached to break every bone in the body of the betrayer, and screamed at him to avoid showing his back to such a one, but a small voice inside himself told him that he should turn around. Compromising with it, he looked over his shoulder, his heart still ablaze, and he saw a girl walking away, followed by two figures. He took great pains to set aside his wrath, or at least tone it down long enough to come back to himself. He took a breath that came out in a grunt of irritation, scooped up Nyaromon wordlessly and left Shiv in the dirt with his stupid glasses. Nyaromon would have said something in all this, but elected not to when she saw Dante's face. This wasn't the end of it. His heart was still back there fighting Shiv, and it would take some time for him to make his way back from that razor's edge between the fight his very soul longed for and the thin veneer of civility that he'd slowly begun to adopt. She'd be surprised if he even apologized to Inori for a while yet. He'd be smoldering in this for some time to come, and all she could do was try to keep from becoming the target of his now objectless rage.

Shiv looked at Yang when Dante began to follow Inori.
"You will not take anything of mine again, Yang." He said in a serious tone, "Understood?"
"Yeeees." mumbled Yang.
Shiv sat up, minding his aching side where Yang had hit him.
"And you're really heavy in that form! Ugh!"
Yin snickered a little. Shiv tossed him a rueful glance and grinned.
"Yeah, and it was very informative too."
Shiv fell backwards again, sprawling his hands behind his head, looking up at the sky. This was an odd feeling, knowing that something had just broken in this very fragile team that they had set up. Shiv felt a lump deep in his chest, and couldn't quite place the feeling. Dante had such an odd look in his eyes at the end there, an rage that didn't quite fit with the stimulus of a scrawny kid flying at you. Also, such anger born of an act that he had brought about himself! Did this Dante really not understand the cause and effect of things?
Shiv absentmindedly rubbed the place on his stomach where Dante had hit him. The kid was decent in a scrap at least. Good to know he wasn't completely useless. Shiv's smile grew larger, showing a large amount of teeth. He chuckled.
Yang gave his partner some space, not wanting to interrupt Shiv's smile. Yin could guess what was going through the human's head.
Shiv kicked his legs off the ground and lurched himself to his feet, grunting as the shock disturbed his aching side. Shiv put on his sunglasses, looking into the sky. The other children were getting pretty far ahead. Shiv laughed a bit to himself and then looked at his two companions.
"Well," Shiv said in a happy, confident voice, "Let's catch them up, shall we?"
Shiv tied the bandana around his neck rather than his head. He tousled his hair to liven it from its slumber. Then Shiv ran, Yin and Yang in tow, to catch up to the other two chosen. He ran till he was even with them, and then slowed his pace to match theirs. This team wasn't done yet.

Inori said nothing to the others as they caught up, her attention dead set on what was ahead of her. Wizardmon hovered by her side now, expression guarded. The unease between the chosen was something he was mindful of...and something he did not wish to provoke.
"You two have issues." Alchemon stated bluntly, folding his hands behind his head as he walked. "So nice to see humans have such civilized ways of working them out with each othe--ow!" Alchemon stumbled, and rubbed his head. Wizardmon was most thankful that the rookie had been too caught up in his own words to notice where the attack had come from. Though, the look Inori gave Alchemon certainly seemed to get him to keep quiet and not really investigate the situation any further.

The only reason Dante didn't hit Alchemon was because someone else got to it first. Besides, Alchemon wasn't the one he was angry at. The offender had just come alongside them, and Dante was keeping his attention focused pointedly on the ground ahead of him. Even looking at the betrayer would be enough to loosen his already tenuous hold on his temper. A fight between themselves wasn't what they needed right now, even if it was well deserved. Even if Shiv had really wanted his sunglasses so badly, he'd gone for the throat first. Dante saw it more and more clearly as he reflected. The first swing Shiv had taken had been aimed at Dante's throat. Dante knew well that there was only one situation in which you went for an opponent's throat: You sincerely mean to harm your foe to the fullest extent possible. If the small evidences his senses continued to present him with were to be believed, Shiv believed himself in the right, and possibly was even confused by Dante's wrath. This made Dante more angry. Did he not understand the cause and effect of things? His betrayal would not go unanswered. There was a price for everything, and when the time was right, Dante would collect the debt.
Nyaromon could feel the tension building in Dante's arms, even though he was clearly focused on not hurting her with his grip. This was not good. The fight was far from over, and Dante seemed to be gearing up for the second round, as though he was resolving to not hold back anymore. Whatever it was that Shiv had unearthed in Dante, she could only hope that he knew what he was doing, because Dante wouldn't be able to hold himself forever, and she knew that she was powerless to stop him from whatever he was setting his mind to. The unfortunate part of all this was that there was a very real possibility that after Dante lost himself to the boiling rage within his heart, the two of them might end up alone. Inori didn't seem to approve of the fighting, and it might have been her action that had broken it up for the time being, but what would she do when it began again in earnest?

Shiv noticed that Dante was still tense, but chose to ignore it. Dante was still cooling down, or gearing up. Shiv wasn't sure, but he knew that his talking would only hurt the situation. He idly wondered if Dante would ambush him while they walked. He wondered why Dante was still holding this grudge. He had started the fight by taking the glasses, Shiv had continued in the logical fashion.
The tactics of the fight were sound, Dante had a very large size advantage on Shiv. Had Shiv not taken Dante by surprise, they probably would not have fallen. The last thing a small kid does in a fight is lose the advantage. Had Dante managed to ramp up any more, there would have been no chance for Shiv to win that fight without causing serious bodily harm. A bruised windpipe wasn't nearly as serious as a broken leg or rib.
He glanced briefly at Inori. Still couldn't read her! What control! Dante was seething, that much was obvious. Ah well, the team endures, right?

"Inori...are you alright?" Wizardmon murmured to the girl in a quiet tone. She shrugged slightly then nodded in response.
"Just...not that good with other people." She replied in an equally low tone, her commentary meant only for the wizard digimon to hear. "I don't know if they are going to start at it again or not...and I really don't want to have it happen again. It leads to having to choose sides, and hurting someone else and then someone leaves feeling abandoned and I..."
"You'd do the best you could, I'm sure." He responded evenly. The exasperated sigh he earned in response was not what he wanted. Resolved to put his partner at ease, Wizardmon tugged his cloak down briefly and smiled at her. "Don't worry about it. I promise it will all work out in the end, one way or another."
Inori stopped in her tracks for a moment, glancing to her partner as he grinned. Everything from his expression to how he held himself in that moment spoke more to her then his words did...and it was promising her a lot of things. Some things, part of her doubted he could keep...but that would not stop him from trying.
Inori reached out and grabbed Wizardmon's hand, walking forward again. The gesture, being wholly unexpected by the champion level digimon had him being tugged along behind her for at least a moment or two before he began hovering at a proper speed to match her pace again.
"Thank you, Wizardmon." She murmured. "You really are a nice friend."
Wizardmon flashed her a quick grin before pulling his cloak back up to mask his expression. "And you may be better with others than you think."
Both were blissfully oblivious to the now seething alchemist digimon walking behind them. He'd not overheard what they had said, but he didn't need to. This was not going the way he wanted...and that would not do at all.

Dante craved the blood of the betrayer on his fists. That was really the only way to say it. He wanted Shiv to bleed, and he wanted to be the cause. He wanted to snap the traitor's little bones like so many toothpicks, and relish in the sound. He lusted for the cries of pain that would inevitably result from his terrible vengeance wreaked upon the body of the one who would dare betray what trust he'd put in him. It was to the point that he wasn't even there anymore, not with Shiv and Inori. The curtain had gone up on the play that was his past, and each of them had parts to play. When he finally reached the moment in which revenge was his, no voice would be able to reach him, save the voices of one who was there on that fateful day...
Nyaromon could feel herself losing him. She'd been a chosen digimon for so little time, had only just found Dante a couple days before, and already she was losing him. He was going away from her, into the world of his torment. She didn't know what waited for him there, but she was certain that once he was lost to the world of his memories, she might never get him back. Unfortunately, she didn't know what to do. Already a single word spoken at the wrong time would set him off, and he'd only just begun. He'd likely go the entire day like this, trapped in that moment between thought and action, constantly winding up for a blow he'd never strike while he failed to justify becoming the aggressor. All she could do for him now was pray, even though she knew that no one could hear her silent, desperate plea.
Please, someone, help Dante!
(Okay, so I'm totally game for moving to night if no one's got more business to take care of during the day...)

Yin sensed the rising darkness in Dante, and the subsequent tension of his partner. He kept this to himself, though. He would keep to himself and sleep with one eye open tonight. Shiv might have really stepped in it this time. It would serve him right, save for the fact that any further altercation between the two chosen would undoubtedly embroil their partners as well.
Yang walked beside Shiv, happy only that Shiv was smiling. He looked forward to testing his skills in the future and seeing how far his amazing partner could take him. Dante was a nice guy. Look at him! He just finished wrestling with Shiv and now he was shaking with happiness! Yang giggled a little and added an additional bounce to his step.
Shiv continued grinning widely, even if he really didn't feel it. Why had he done that? It was a foolish thing to do. While not irreversible, which made it not a mistake, it most certainly qualified as a poor strategic move on his part. Such ineptitude would only hurt the group in the future. He pondered inside as he felt Dante stewing in his own angst. Dante would probably seek revenge later, possibly as soon as that night. And it was all Shiv's doing.
Why had Shiv let the fight end?
In allowing Yang to knock Shiv off of Dante, he had inadvertently given Dante the advantage. In letting the moment pass and letting the fight stop, Shiv had allowed Dante to put Shiv on the defensive. The field was now Dante's, and Shiv would have to sleep with one eye open tonight. Shiv might have really stepped in it this time.
Or perhaps... Shiv could strike first.

(I was hoping we'd get some kind of word as to when we could run into the others...but not sure when that will be!)
Alchemon tugged at his scarf so it covered his mouth, and masked the grin he was now wearing. With the way things were now between the three chosen...a few well placed words could have them going their separate ways. Inori was already going to be hard to talk into trusting him with Wizardmon in the way, but the two other children would likely make it more akin to impossible. With them gone, the chances of his scheme going according to plan was much better.
It was just a matter of waiting for the right moment...
Inori, either oblivious to Dante's mood...or very aware and attempting to remedy it to some extent edged towards Dante in her path.
"You understand my frustration about him from when we first met now?" She murmured to him with half a smile. "Only with less abandonment issues."
Wizardmon glanced between his parner, Dante, then Shiv. His more pessimistic side wondered if this group really could help save the digital world when they could hardly keep together themselves. It was quickly put back into it's place as he reminded himself that this was only a part of the journey...and ideally they would adapt.

Nyaromon thanked the digital gods for the angel that was Inori, pausing a bit to swallow the bitterness the word brought to the fore. She must have noticed Dante's worsening mood and was coming to help, right?
"You understand my frustration about him from when we first met now? Only with less abandonment issues."
Okay, so not the help she was going for, but at least it would get him talking.
Dante heard Inori's voice, and it snapped him a little bit out of his thoughts. The seething rage was not far from the surface, but at least it wasn't his focus for the time being.
"All too well," was all he said, his voice a little too quiet and carrying a distinct undertone of boiling anger. He wasn't gone yet, but it wouldn't take much if misapplied.
He could see Shiv now. For the first time since they'd met, he truly saw Shiv. Here was a boy who'd clearly dealt with larger children in the past, probably not winning too often. Probably thought he was a genius, too. Probably why he didn't seem to regret what he'd started, too. No one betrayed a person and didn't feel bad about it when remaining in that person's company. That was crazy talk. Well, if the two fought again, Dante would come to know Shiv a little better, wouldn't he?

Shiv felt the break in tension as a wave against the shore. He felt his muscles he didn't realize were tense slacken. Still, his guard was up, and this bully wasn't going to get anything from him. Bullies were a blight upon society, and the small had to do something to get out from under them.
Even if it meant becoming one himself.
Yin did not settle. This unstable one. This Dante. What was he? He had already proven himself a burden. Yin trusted this one even less than Shiv. Shiv even appeared level-headed and trustworthy comparatively speaking. Perhaps... Shiv wasn't so bad?

Inori chuckled lightly as she commented. "Well, if it helps, my plans of picking fights or ditching are pretty much non-existent. I think I have enough on my plate as is." She nodded vaugly towards Wizardmon and Alchemon....the former still holding her hand, while the latter kept himself a few measured steps back.
Wizardmon eyed Inori when she nodded towards him, having opted not to listen in on the conversation she was attempting with Dante. He wasn't sure if this was a good gesture or a bad one...especially with the follow-up gesture to Alchemon. Thinking of Alchemon...that was a situation Wizardmon was still not certain how to handle. Something to contemplate while on watch...

Dante arched a brow as he regarded Inori. Her plans of picking fights or ditching were pretty much non-existent? What did that even mean? Was she talking about leaving Shiv? She didn't seem to be the type to fight, and why would she feel like she could trust him anyway? What was she even thinking?
Nyaromon was thinking something similar. She was game for whatever Inori was intending if Dante was, but what was she even talking about? Well, she wasn't going to be the one to ask, that was for sure.
Dante, however, had no such qualms.
"If it came down to one of the two options, which would you pick?" He seemed to be coming down from his anger, but it still simmered beneath the surface of his words. Confusion had seemed a good medicine to throw him off his rage, at least in part. So there they were, walking along and talking out the sides of their mouths so that Shiv couldn't hear and wouldn't notice. Maybe he did know what they were doing. Maybe he didn't care. Maybe Shiv could have his own life and feelings without Dante actually caring what they were. Definitely the last one.

Shiv and his partners kept walking, mostly oblivious to the conversation being held between the other two chosen. Shiv knew they were talking, and he could guess what they were talking about. There were very few things that would be spoken about unbeknownst, and Shiv doubted they were planning a birthday party.
Ah well, so much for this.
