Fourty thousand Digital Years ago, the foundations of the internet were established - and data began to be lost or erased. That lost data began to interact, and eventually formed a conciousness - it named itself Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil was infinite, for as long as data and connection between computers existed, Yggdrasil would be and would expand.
Ygdrasil worked with the vast data at his command, his very essence, and used it to form a land which he governed - a Digital World. And, of its own accord, stray data came there and became small intelligences of their own - Digital Monsters.
