A bad place to land

"AHHHH!!" Jei yelled out as he continued on flying through the sky, or rather a huge dome.

It would seem that the boy appeared inside of the dome and came flying down from the sky "Oh no..I'm gonna hit it....AHHH!!!"he yelled out, beginning to flail his arms as if just that was going to stop him but to his dismay it would not.

Jei would soon close his eyes and stop yelling, bracing himself for the impact to come which was only moments away. CRASH!! He had hit the ground, making a small crater into it which probably would have alerted some attention. Jei had landed on his bum and despite hitting the ground hard it actually didn't hurt that much as he stood up and brushed dust off of him "Okay....i made this...Wow..."he blinked, looking around himself at the crater he made.

Jei would then walk out of it and look around at the scenery surrounding him, wondering what he was going to do now since he was in some strange factory he had never seen before

Jei was going to fix his cap if it wasn't for the strange device that was in his hand "Oh yea..." he said softly, thinking it was maybe a dream.

"That's right...maybe this whole place is just a big dream..."he said chuckling lightly, although it carried a hint of nervousness.

He would then begin to walk in the direction he was facing which was actually towards the front of the factory. He would have placed the device in his jacket pocket and straightened his cap while he continued on. He would then stop and lean up against the wall slowly moving his head to the side in order to see what was there, he figured if anyone saw him he'd get in a lot of trouble and that was one thing he didn't want right now

Somewhere else in the factory, a girl stumbled a few steps back as she was deposited in the digital world.

"What the..." She muttered in a dazed sort of way, retracting her hand back to her side, now that the broken TV was gone. This was not turning out to be her day. She was going to miss her brother! She made a mental note to punch that TV next time she saw it.

"Agh no! I need to get back! Where did you go magic TV?" The girl spun around in place, looking for the broken TV that took her here. "You can't do this to me!"

The girl's raised voice reverberated throughout the room, dislodging something from the rafters. Said thing crashed onto her head.

"Gah!" Melanie yelled.
"Ahh!" It screamed, digging it's little talons into her hair.

"In my hair! IN MY HAIR!" She flailed momentarily before reaching up to try and grab her new head ornament.
"Too much hair, too much hair!" It yelled back in a high pitched female voice, letting go as it was picked up and pulled out of Mel's hair.

The girl stared at the feathered thing now in her hands...and it stared back with it's big orange-yellow eyes.
"Hi!" It squeeked cheerfully at the girl, forgetting the moment of panic moments before.
"Uh...hi!" She smiled back. "Who are you, and what were you doing in my hair?"
"I'm Pinamon! And I fell into your hair! You have a lot of it by the way. Why do you have so much of it?"

"Uh...it keeps my head warm." Melanie said slowly, not really sure how else to answer. "I'm Melanie...by the way."

"I've never met a Melanie!" The creature stated happily. "Are there lots of Melanies?"
"Sure there are!" The girl replied. "But before we get to that...where are we?"

"This is a big factory! In the digital world! Are you lost?" Pinamon inquired cheerfully.
"Misplaced more like it I think. I don't think I am supposed to be here."
"Of course you are!" Pinamon replied. "You're supposed to be here and be my friend, clearly! Otherwise I wouldn't have fallen on your head."

The girl grinned at the bird, who had now fluttered around a bit so it was sitting on her arm. "Let's go do something! There is someone else here! We should go find them! This way!"

The bird digimon looked in a direction, and tried to pull the girl along...albeit unsuccessfully. Amused...the girl began walking.

Jei kept himself pinned up against the wall of the factory for a few moments before he decided to take a peek around the corner. He would see a lot of machines walking around and working "What the...what are these machines..." he said with wonder.

He would then quickly move back behind the safety of the wall as one of the machines had quickly turned it's head in his direction which scared him. "oh man...Why did my computer have to do this...who would have ever thought getting a new computer was an invitation to another world..." he sighed while rubbing the back of his head.

Jei was going to take another peek back around the corner although the machine digimon that had saw him had come around the corner to check on what it saw and was now face to face with him. It was a Mekanorimon although that knowledge was not something Jei knew as he froze in place, not sure of what to do. "A....A Child! He must be a chosen one!" Mekanorimon yelled out and attempted to grab onto him.

His efforts to get him however was thwarted as Jei ducked right under those metal arms and took off running in the opposite direction for his life. He didn't have time to think on what the machine digimon had said or rather he wasn't attempting to anyway as his only thought was getting the heck out of there. "Oh no you don't...If I can capture you Peacockmon will surely reward me! Hagurumon! Get him!" Mekanorimon yelled as several Hagurumon came at his call and started to chase after Jei.

Melanie with her new round bird friend were walking at a leisurely pace through the factory, the bird occasionally telling her to change direction. Mel hardly minded, at least until something started beeping in her backpack.
"There is a thing in your bag that's making sounds!" Pinamon whispered loudly. The girl blinked, shifting around a bit to get into her backpack. It took her a moment to locate the loudly beeping device.

"What is it?" Mel asked nobody in particular, turning the black and purple device over a few times in her hands.

"Oh! It's a thing! It does neat stuff." Pinamon explained vaguely.

"What kind of neat stuff?" Mel asked, sounding excited by the prospect of things that qualified as neat...and stuff.

"Ooooh lots of neat stuff. It finds other things!" The bird squeeked.

"More things like this thing, or other things?"
"Yes!" Pinamon replied cheerfully. Mel was about to ask for clarification when she heard something heading her way...something running in her direction it seemed. The girl glanced towards where the sound was coming from, curious.

"Ahhhhh!!!" a voice yelled out.

If Melanie looked she'd probably notice that a boy with silver hair was heading in her direction, he had a look on his face that suggested he wasn't going to be in the mood to stop for a little chat and a cup of tea. Actually right behind him was a gang of several Hagurumon chasing after him like he had stole something of theirs that they desperately wanted back.

"Don't Just stand there...Run!!" Jei yelled out, obviously referring to Mel and her new small friend as he ran right past them.

"Hey! Why are you chasing him?" Mel yelled at the Hagarumon, catching the attention of a few. "Maybe it's some kind of game?"

"Another!" A few of them chanted between each other, turning to go after Mel. Pinamon fluttered off of Melanie, landing on the floor. She was fairly certain that these digimon were not particularly friendly.

"Don't you try anything now..." Pinamon squawked, trying to seem more impressive than she was.

Melanie on the other hand watched as one came directly at her. As it got closer, Mel shifted into some kind of stance, then moved to punch the Hagurumon in the face.

"I'm not sure I like this game." She noted, rubbing her hand. Punching the metal digimon was probably not particularly pleasant.

"Wow!" Pinamon noted in awe. "Melanies' are good fighters! I bet you digivolve into something amazing!"

The girl looked like she wanted to reply to Pinamon, but another thought struck her.

"Hey, come back here!" Mel yelled after Jei.

Jei would then stop and turn back to look at the girl who had just told him to stop once he got a safe distance away "What are you talking about!?" he yelled at her

"I'm not going to stand there and let some crazy cog things capture me! and I don't think you should either" he said to her.

Suddenly, one of the Hagurumon would then rush toward Melanie attempting to grab onto her and bring her back to Mekanorimon.

"Fine, keep running!" Mel yelled back.

Pinamon lept at the Hagurumon, trying to hit it with one if her tail feathers, yelling. "Stinging Spark!" She yelled, hoping to zap the Hagurumon.

Regardless of if the Hagurumon was hit or not by Pinamon, Mel would try and punch it if it continued to try and grab her.

"Seriously, you should stop." Mel commented to the Hagurumon.

The Hagurumon would be hit by the attack and reeled back a bit from it as even though it was a lower level digimon's attack it still did hurt him pretty badly.

Jei would stop in his tracks and just look down for a moment thinking it probably wasn't very nice to just leave her alone like that so he would turn around and run back to her where he would stop right next to her.

"I guess it wouldn't be very nice if I let you get caught all by yourself..." he said to her as he stood there, not sure of what to do exactly.

All of the Hagurumon would then form a circle around the two chosen kids and stop them from being able to run as they began to get closer and closer.

Mel grinned, cracking her knuckles and taking up a defensive stance. "I'll be okay, I'm sure."

Pinamon watched Jei for a moment, suspicious of what he was going to do. This only lasted for a moment however, as her attention shifted back to the Hagurumon.

"There are so many! If we win maybe Melenie will digivolve!" Pinamon eventually pipped up.

"I have no idea what digivolving is, but...let's focus on that whole winning thing!" She commented before glancing to Jei and adding. "Hope you can fight, cause this is not going to be easy I'm sure!"

((It's been more then a week so...))

Getting no response from the boy, Mel shrugged and returned her attention to the Hagurumon. She made a gesture that clearly indicated 'bring it'.

Pinamon seemed to puff up her feathers, her two small tail feathers making a crackling sound. Feeling quite bold after her new taller friend seemed determined to win the fight, the small bird knew they would win. They had to! So Melanie could digivolve!

One of the Hagurumon launched itself at the girl, who spun quickly towards it and met it with a good kick. Normally she would prefer to punch it in the face, but...considering it seemed to be made of metal and she rather liked not having broken fingers...the kick would have to suffice.

The Hagurumon hovered back a bit, somewhat dazed after the blow. It didn't expect the girl to -actually- fight back. Just like it didn't expect to get electricuted.

Pinamon squeaked out a 'Stinging Spark' before applying a shock to the attacking Hagurumon, and waiting to see what it plus it's cohorts would do.

(agh...sorry Real life yanked me off of my computer for a while...)

Jei had become lost in thought as the girl had said something of him, he was too busy thinking on whether he should get the heck out of there still or stay and try to help out. Although this would all change when he heard the cackling of electricity and noticed that they were now fighting some of the things.

He would then inhale slowly, making it up in his mind that he wasn't going to be a coward as he looked around himself, spotting a pipe which he quickly picked up and ran over to hit one of the ones that was coming at Mel from behind. "Ummm...sorry about that...I got a little lost in thought..." he said to her, the Hagurumon was successfully deflected although the pipe took a heavy toll as it had a pretty bad dent in it.

Although Jei knew they weren't going to be holding off these things for long and when that time came they were probably going to be caught and put to work in the factory or so Jei had thought anyway. He was actually so focused on what he was thinking about that he didn't notice that something was glowing brightly from his bag that hanged at his side.

"Excalibur!" A loud booming voice said from almost out of nowhere.

A figure would be heading towards their direction, soaring through the air with wings spread proudly. It was MagnaAngemon and with his Excalibur drawn he would slice two Hagurumon in half that were coming towards Jei and Mel. "It seems I have made it just in time..." he said in a rather courageous voice.

"Wow..." was all Jei could say as he looked up at MagnaAngemon, a huge sigh of relief overcoming him as he felt like he was now safe from these strange mechanical creatures that surrounded them.

Pinamon squeaked at the arrival of MagnaAngemon, hopping from one tiny foot to the other excitedly. "So shiny! When I get bigger I want to have shiny things too! We can share them Melanie!"

Melanie half smiled at her new bird friend's cheerful enthusiasm and general disregard for the fact that they were just attacked. In an oddly graceful sort of way, Melanie's stance shifted from defensive to simply standing at her full height.

"I am hoping to whatever greater powers you all believe in that you are not here to cause us problems...'cause you have a big advantage with that sword there." The girl offhandedly gestured to MagnaAngemon's weapon. "Not that it would stop me from trying of course but...it's not on my list of things to do as of yet!"

"What is on the list?" Pinamon piped up, kicking her little feet in the air as Melanie took a moment to bend down and pick the small fluffy bird up and put her on her head.

"Things and stuff." The girl replied, feigning a serious tone.

"I -love- things and stuff!" Pinamon exclaimed, clinging to Mel's hair. The girl just smiled awkwardly before quickly shifting back to her defensive stance and turning to face some of the Hagurumon.

"Now then, where were we?" Her grin turned slightly malicious at the Hagurumon, ideally trying to intimidate them.

"What would I gain from hurting you digi-destined?" MagnaAngemon said to Mel as he readied his sword and then dashed forward to slash three Hagurumon in half clearing a pathway for them.

"I will handle these...they are nothing but rookie level digimon...you three should get out of this place and find somewhere to hide!" he yelled as he held up his shield to block a few oncoming attacks.

Jei only nodded slowly as he looked up with awe at MagnaAngemon, before he quickly shook himself back to his senses as he realized the command that was given to them by the great digimon. "He's right...I don't know what he meant by Digi-destined but if he's come here to help us escape then let's take him up on that offer!" he said to Mel as he grabbed on her arm and attempted to pull her along.
