Peacockmon considered the strange creatures as Demidevimon talked. Peacockmon only really heard every two or three words the little one spoke, as he was considering other things. Besides, Demidevimon was the ultimate toady, and his master of choice was currently Devimon who, while certainly giving his factory purpose, also clearly had contempt for basically everyone who wasn't him. Peacockmon couldn't but know that in Devimon's presence, he was a tool and nothing more. Peacockmon did not like to be someone else's tool. He was master of this factory, and everything that happened within it was his alone. Yes, he was considering the children quite closely. Demidevimon's desire to have them to present to his master was undisguised, and Peacockmon wasn't anywhere near as dumb as he looked. He began to work on his controls. The monitor showing the angel's flight changed, now showing a group of Kokuwamon engaged in their mindless tasks.
"Go," Peacockmon said to them, "Bring me, ah say, bring me those humans."
As one, the Kokuwamon began to march in the direction of their prey. It would take them a little while to get there, but once they did, the children would be his. He switched the monitor back to the angel, who was still flying down the corridor. Peacockmon began to close doors and drop walls to guide the angel through the maze he was constructing a little at a time. A little bit farther, and the angel would reach that room. Yes, once he got to that room, there would be nowhere left to run. Peacockmon chuckled to himself as he savored the victory to come.
"Just keep, ah say, just keep runnin', angel man," he said, not particularly caring whether or not the angel could hear him, "Soon, ah say, soon those human children will be mine, and there's nothin' you can do about it."
He chuckled once again. This was just too good!

Demidevimon chuckled to himself in a wheezy, hissing sort of way. This was perfect! Although he didn't have nearly as much gravitas as his master, Peacockmon was still falling into line despite having nothing but contempt for the little flying devil. Peacockmon was unable to disguise his need for purpose and control, and Demidevimon wasn't as stupid as Peacockmon thought he was. This was all falling into the range of Demidevimon's plan.
He looked at the slowly growing maze of reinforced doors, wondering what the angel would do. By the looks of it, these were doors meant to stand against the possibility of fire, meant to be closed to seal off the damaged area. What had the ancients intended this factory to make with such contingencies? It even looked as though the air ducts could be sealed as well, unless that button did something else entirely. So many switches, dials and buttons were arrayed on the dashboard that Demidevimon could spend weeks puzzling their purpose and have gotten through maybe half of them. Peacockmon was definitely the master here.
Demidevimon continued watching, puzzling what the champion was going to do.

"With the thing that finds stuff...very elaborate explanation there..." Jei said sarcastically as he pulled out his Digivice and looked it over. He honestly did not know how to work the thing and he had no more than 2 thoughts about whether or not he should mess with it.
He'd look over to Melanie as she pulled out her own and began to press random buttons on it before he looked back at his own blank screen. "Well...guess it couldn't hurt..." he thought as he decided to press buttons on it, hearing a little tone each time he did.
Suddenly, something would light up on the screen "L-look..." Jei said to Mel and Pinamon as he moved closer to them, it would show a map with a arrow in the center, which was obviously himself and somewhere on the map a red dot seemed to be moving pretty fast, making sharp turns and what not. "Do you guys think this is him?" he asked them.
Meanwhile, MagnaAngemon continued to fly down the corridor as fast as he could, staying just out of the spiked walls reach as large walls and doors began to come down, blocking his path and forcing him and the wall to change directions. He couldn't hear what Peacockmon was saying considering he turned off his microphone but he knew with all these falling walls and closing doors that he was probably being led somewhere. He hoped he was leading him to a place to meet him face to face, but he couldn't really pinpoint for sure where the Avian digimon was directing him since these walls and doors were ancient and could probably withstand the strength of his Excalibur, he would just have to keep going on.

The little bird Digimon seemed to get oddly skinnier, a look which came off as indignant for the bird. "My descriptions are very good!"
Melanie smiled slightly, but became distracted by the boy's comments. She offered a slight shrug. "Could be...could be something else too I suppose. Only one way to find out?"
"Lets find out!" Pinamon added enthusiastically, seeming to instantly forget her annoyance with Jei.

(Bleh...Sorry it took me so long to post.)
Peacockmon continued to lead the angel digimon onward through the bowels of the factory, nearer and nearer to areas even he didn't know what to do with. He'd never admit it, but there were some parts of the factory that even in all his time here he had never been able to figure out. Those areas had been unused for such a long time anyway by the time he took control that he just hadn't bothered with them. Now, as he led the angel digimon further and further away from the children that had him so concerned, he found himself curious about those regions. What were they for? What could he do with them? He'd get to that later. That angel was flying quite fast, and it was taking a degree of focus to stay ahead of him. With any luck, the angel would splat into a wall or something and make Peacockmon's job easy. Still, that would deny him the chance to make use of that room at the end of the run. Wouldn't that just be a tragedy?
As his mind drifted towards the impromptu maze's endpoint, he began taking spare moments in the frantic structuring of the angel's path to prepare the glorious trap that he would spring once the angel reached the end. It would take some time for him to get there, but when he did, it would mean the end of this disruption.
"You're almost, ah say, almost theah, angel boy," he said, turning the microphone back on, "If you don't, ah say, don't get theah fast enough, though, you won't be in time to save those humans."
Might as well get his licks in while the angel was still around. Before long, Peacockmon would be fresh out of adversaries.

Demidevimon watched the champion work. Even as Peacockmon clicked away leading the angel on, he would briefly work with something to the side, in a room that was devoid of useful implements at the beginning of the angel's run. What was this champion doing? Why couldn't anyone in this world take the simple way out?! Just capture the chosen and do away with the angel then give the children to his master. But noooo, this champion had to lead the angel on, give him opportunities to escape. Yes, the champion was manipulating the situation perfectly, but still, if the angel realized what was happening then he could turn and just destroy this place. Then his master would be furious! But Demidevimon held his tongue, opting instead to scowl.
Why did megalomania always have to come with insanity?

((It's been well over a week, with the rule reinstated and all))
Mel and her partner continued to walk, occasionally verifying they were still on the right track with Jei and his digivice. It was going rather well, at least until Pinamon started fidgeting on Mel's head.
"What's up?" Melanie inquired casually.
"Something is coming!" Pinamon replied in a hushed nervous tone. "Don't worry about it. If it's that angel guy, we're good...if not, then we fight and continue on our way!"
"You're very sure about this!" Pinamon squeaked. The girl shrugged and grinned. "Well, it's not like we have to many other options...."

Jei continued to lead the two on with his digivice, staying silent as he followed a path to try and get closer to the dot. That is until he noticed the little digimon fidgeting on Mel's head. "Something's coming?...Umm Does that mean we need to hide again?" he said to Melanie as he looked at her.
That red dot on the boy's digivice would be marking the angel digimon's movements perfectly as he swerved and turned through the corridors, those walls falling down and forcing him to change directions each time. These actions were really starting to get to him and the fact that he could hear Peacockmon's snide comments didn't make his situation feel any better.
