Arrival

[Hewlett]

Hewlett was vaguely panicked, and somewhat concerned. The smaller boy had grabbed him by the wrist and was sprinting towards Usa and her partner with the speed and tenacity of a mad... thing.
Apemon strolled behind at a leisurely pace, capable of covering ground faster with his longer legs. Waspy, on the other hand, buzzed next to his partners head, and it was he who spoke to Teo.
"Hey, kiddo. Let him go, would you?" in his mellow, hushed and somewhat generic American-accented voice. The youth obliged and tore back on ahead as Hewlett tidied himself up and then took up a relaxed walk, his insectoid companion at his shoulder.
"Thanks, buddy." The bug shrugged.
"I help my partner. 'S what I do."

[Usachan]

I look over my shoulder to see Teo-kun come racing up while the others lag behind. "So, you think hes going to help us?" I ask quietly.

[Teo Sage]

Teo looked at Usa "I don't know its to early to say, at least we know we can rely on each other and our digimon in case he doesn't come through." Teo said.

Teo looked back over his shoulder at Hewlett and his digimon. "What do you think of him Onee-chan?"

[Usachan]

I shake my head. "I dont know exactly, but theres something.....fake about him, likes he's hiding something." I murmur.

[Teo Sage]

Teo looked at Usa "Hiding something huh....I guess only time will tell." Teo said.

[Usachan]

I shake my head. "If its bad, I pray we dont find out too late." I murmur. "I dont think he's bad. Apemon's a good digimon, he wouldnt side with a bad human, kulu." Kulumon says. Vee nods in agreement.

[Teo Sage]

Teo nodded "Thats true."

"Well, don't be fooled Apemon is known to be quick to anger, you saw how easily he disposed of that virus shard and he knew a lot about it when we didn't which I find suspicious and he never regresses they could just be lulling us into a false state of security." Yami argued.

"Yami, didn't anyone ever tell you you read into things to much? I'm sure there is a reason for everything." Teo replied.

"Hey, I'm just saying this to protect you its my job and I care about your safety."

Teo just stared at the ground as they walked.

[Hewlett]

Hewlett and Waspy were now in a fairly pleasant, amiable conversation. Hewlett found that this "new" version of his partner was much more to his tastes - calm, dry-witted, sardonic and, perhaps crucially, he didn't seem to enjoy people that weren't him.
"So you've been here all your life?"
"Well, all of this one. Digimon don't normally die - their data reforms into a Digi-egg and we're reborn." Hewlett smiled. This was kind of nice.
Apemon was still some distance behind, so Hewlett and Waspy were somewhat surprised when the wise simian charged up behind them, swept them (and then Usa, Teo, Vee and Yami) and raced through a tunnel that Hewlett swore had not been there earlier. They came out of this on a sandy beach, and Apemon explained himself.
"My apologies, sir. I recieved a message from the Capital,"
"Sorry to interrupt, but how?" chimed Hewlett, his curiosity and disregard for social norms shining through.
"I am a scholar as well as a mystic - the Captial was my home before the Shattering. My peers remained there, but I fled... the contacted me and attempted to open a shortcut to their location, but the virus must have damaged their machinery, and we insted came to be here."
