Renal had to think quickly as they rushed at him. Renal released all his energy and fired a Burst Shadow Wing in a circle around hoping to hit the Kougamon.
"Wow this battle is tense i'm afraid Renal might die." Atlas said worried.

The Shadow Clones were hit and dispersed in clouds of smoke the real one was not among them. He had taken refuge in the shadow that belonged to Renal.
Suddenly, Kougamon's sword came slashing down at Renal's back from behind the sword cut through the air and was silent as it came down Kougamon had grinned when his plan had worked.

Atlas had saw Kougamon behind him. "Renal watch out!" Atlas shouted. "Huh? Gah! Where did he come from?" Renal said as he was hit and fell to the ground. "Renal get up are you OK? Renal!" Atlas said screaming. "I'm... Fine." Renal said getting up slowly. He turned around to look at Kougamon and got in a fighting stance. Renal vision got blurry for a few seconds but then was OK.

Kougamon smiled "I thought I told you, I am an Adult level! A true warrior! Such attacks like yours can't even faze me." Kougamon watched the blood run down Renal's body from his previous attack.
"How do you intend to beat me? I've inflicted a wound that will hinder you. Face it you've lost now to finish you." Kougamon smiled he jumped into the air.
"Now die!!!" Kougamon plunged himself towards Renal his sword in at the ready when he got into range he slashed his sword horizontally at Renal's head.

Renal had saw the sword coming at his head and ducked. Renal went to uppercut Kougamon. Renal would then try to kick him in the air higher and would jump up in the air and with whatever power he had left he would use a beat knuckle. As Atlas was watching he was worried about renal and was clutching his digivice tightly.

Kougamon was hit by the uppercut which caused him to fly backwards in turn the kick would miss preventing Renal from using his Beat Knuckle.
"So you still have some fight left in you very well...no more mercy! Kouga-ryuu! Kage Bunshin!!!" Several Kougamon appeared counting 6 in total they all rushed Renal three on the ground and three from the air.
They would attempt to pierce him at once.

Renal had barely any energy to fight back so he tried blocking. Renal was hit but managed to protect his vital organs. "Gah! I'm sorry Atlas. I couldn't protect you." Renal said falling to the ground unconscious. "Renal! Renal! Renal are you OK!? Answer me!" Atlas said shouting and running over to Renal's body.
Atlas was on the verge of tears looking at Renal unconscious. Renal started to get a little bit fuzzy. One more attack and he was done for. "I can't believe that you killed him. I know I haven't known him for very long but for some reason I can't bare to see him hurt! He's my friend and I can't let you do this!" Atlas said upset and now crying a little.
All of a sudden his fist began to glow purple and his digisoul appeared. This time it was bigger than last time when he evolved Renal to the rookie level. "Huh? It's my digisoul!" Atlas had remembered when Renal tought him how to use it to digivolve him. "Maybe i can use this the same way i did last time. All right then let's give this a go! Digisoul...Charge!" Atlas said putting his hand on his digivice.
The digivice had shot a beam of light at Renal and Renal woke up. "Monodramon Shinka! Strikedramon!" Renal shouted as he digivolved. Strikedramon looked like a bigger monodramon without wings. He had a longer tail with armor on the tip. He had orange hair sticking out of an armor piece that covered the top of his snout and eyes with a point on top. He had armor on his shoulders and armor on his backhands and wrist. He only had three claws. He wore green pants with a belt around his waist and on his left leg. His chest and stomach where white with a red marking. He has armor just above his ankle and armor covering his feet. He only has two claws on his feet with a spike coming out of his heel.
"Wow you managed to digivolve me and i'm all healed and all my energy is back!" Renal said to Atlas. "Alright kougamon i hope your ready to lose." Renal said. Renal charged at Kougamon and went to punch him with all his strength.

Kougamon was taken off guard and was hit he slid to a stop blood dripped from his mouth.
"You evolved? I don't know how you pulled it off...but don't think where evenly matched just because you think you've become a warrior!" Kougamon said.
"Kouga-ryuu! Kage Bunshin!" Suddenly more Kougamon appeared making the total appear 6. "Now! I'll just have to kill you quicker!" Kougamon charged Renal. "Taste my steel!!!" They said as they slashed at once three from the air and three from the ground.
One from the left one from the right and one directly.

"You think that clones are gonna work? You must be pretty stupid." Renal said smiling. Renal had quickly looked at all of them and then thought for a second. Renal then opened his eyes." Strike Fang!" Renal said covering his body entirely in blue flames and then while dodging the swords, Renal went to hit all of them. He predicted that the real Kougamon wasn't with the clones so he had his guard up ready to strike the real one just in case.

The clones vanished but Renal predicted wrong as what Kougamon thought because one "clone" didn't vanish. Instead he attacked Renal while his attention focus elsewhere.
"Where are you looking!?" He said as he slashed horizontally across at Renal's chest.

Renal had then barely dodged by jumping back. Renal then rushed at him, again, faked punch him and then slid behind him. "Striking Barrage!" Renal said. If this move were to hit, Renal would stop in the middle of it to turn him around and grab him and hold him down on the ground.

Kougamon went to block the attack but was taken off guard when Renal unleashed his superior attack speed in his attack Kougamon was hit by every blow when he was slammed to the ground by Renal.
Kougamon was defeated but he gave a grin "ha ha ha......I'll admit your good.....but defeating me is pointless....countless others will attempt to do what I could not and kill you...." Kougamon coughed up a little blood.
"If you don't lose your sanity first...." Kougamon chuckled he noticed Renal had no idea as to what he was referring to "Look at my hand. What do you see? Its a virus shard.....didn't you feel odd when you were fighting me?" Kougamon slowly reached into his pocket so Renal wouldn't notice.
"You've been exposed to the virus...now its only a matter of time until you become.....just.....like....me....." Kougamon laughed as he pulled out a paper bomb it sizzled until it was just about ready to explode.
Kougamon would remove himself from this world in one last attempt to kill Renal but if all else a small shard would enter Renal's bloodstream.

Renal had saw the paper bomb and let go of Kougamon. He was barely hit. Renal had ran to where Atlas was. "What did he mean by shard?" Renal said. "A shard? Oh yea that reminds me! Now that you mention it i did see a shard on his hand! I didn't think it was important so i didn't tell you." Atlas said. "Well i won't mind what he says he might be lying." Renal said. Renal had reverted back to monodramon. "Well shall we get going?" Renal said.
"Alright then. Let's get going. We have a city to reach." Atlas said. Renal and Atlas then left the Puppetry Fields.
