It was late. Half the house was asleep as the rest walked about and spoke of their simple lives. To Naoko this was a depressing sight. Weren't they curious about the outside world or did they feel the hints of boredom in this fortress made to keep them in? He sighed as he got out of bed to dim the candle by the thin doorway.
"So this is where you live?"
For the passing few minutes a few specks of laughter came from the usually quiet room. Naoko sat with his computer on his lap laughing with their conversation. The voice coming from the laptop spoke serious the whole time but its attitude reminded Naoko of a stubborn child.
" STOP Laughing at me!"
" But I can't -giggle- you whin like my 3rd cousin during a feast."
" Don't Compare Me To A Human!"
" Why not? You're human aren't you?"
" NO! Gah! Screw it. I was sent here to get you and I'm done with this chit- chat."
" Wha-"
Naoko voice disappeared and his laptop crashed to the ground as he just vanished in a flash of light. His boredom was no more but maybe he would miss it?
