"Oof!" I said as Vee and I tumbled and rolled out of the portal and to the ground. "Oww...." I mutter as I sit up and look around. "Incoming!" I hear Vee shout. I turn and see the rest of the group fly out of the portal.......towards me. "Damn." I manage as everyone falls and lands on top of me.

"WEEEEE!!!!" Teo said in a child like motion followed by an "OOOMPH!" Yami could be heard screaming until he landed on Teo and rolled off holding his head.
"AI!!!!!" He hollered Teo then turned his head to the portal to see Hewlett and his digimon coming through Teo panicked but probably wouldn't be able to get out of the way considering he himself was on someone.

Hewlett opened his eyes and found that he had landed next to the pile-up, but, mercifully, he had avoided landing on anybody awkward. Waspy was still attached to his head, but he seemed to have let go of Tapirmon.
"Wonder where he went..." Hewlett mumbled.

Usa opened her eyes as well (she'd screwed them up when everyone was dropped on her, and saw a big-eyed, brown furred and tusk-bearing face blinking at her. Shocked, she let out a cry.
"I reckon someone found him, Boss." laughed Waspy as Usa scabbled out of the bottom of the pile. Hewlett chuckled while he went over to her. He grabbed her under her arms and hauled her out - and the pile collapsed and teo began laughing with glee.
Hewlett and Usa looked at each other for a moment before they started laughing too.

I grin and shake my head. "Well, you wont find a ride like that at Disneyland." I say and Vee looks up at me in confusion. "Whats Disneyland?" he asks. "Its a park where humans go to have fun and enjoy themselves." I say.

Teo looked around "This is a city? I thought there'd me more people here."
"Well, Teo with all the recent events that have happened did you think this would be a bustling city?" Yami said.
"Thats true....so what do we do now?"

Tapirmon spoke at this point.
"We go further in," he said, gesturing to the north with his paw. "The shortcut has dropped us a little... short, if you will." Hewlett looked to the others and shrugged.
"We go further in."

The group navigated their way through the deserted streets, both in-between and in the spaces around towering skyscrapers or smaller buildings, and, often, saw thick black mist playing across the pavements they walked on. Soon, all three humans felt a sense of unease - this was a ghost town, and seemed to have been so for a very long time - buildings were in a state of disrepair and there was nothing to suggest that anyone frequented the streets save for the occasional claw mark or sign of movement.
"So then, Tapirmon," Hewlett began, assuming the learned Digimon would have some answers. "If the city was where this viral outbreak happened, where are the infected? Shouldn't they be... prowling?" Tapirmon laughed. It was a hollow laugh, not really with mirth, more with bitter irony.
"They don't need to. Almost every inhabitant of the city is infected, and after some time they regain their reasoning skills. They wait in buildings - any wrecked building. Those who aren't infected are either members of my group and stay in our stronghold, and those who aren't are either holed up in barricaded buildings or seeking refuge with my people. The infected are around us now in the buildings. They're planning."
Everyone picked up the pace after that.
After two hours on the move, they came to an unusual, almost out of place landmark: a mighty cathedral of carved stone and twisty buttresses. Its great clock face was still intact, miraculously, and though the door was sealed, there was a broken window which the group used to get in. They were tired, and so this stone building seemed to be an excellent defence.

Teo looked around "Its a church....Oi Yami do digimon worship god to?"
"Of course....well those of us that are religious....I don't really believe...Teo you okay?" Yami asked Teo looked a little pale. Being inside the city the source of this viral outbreak began to take a toll.
Teo stumbled a little "Ye...yea...I'm fine." He forced a smile his eyes felt heavy as they closed slightly and he fell forward. "T-Teo!" Yami did all he could to hold him.
"I-I'm sorry I'm just very tired....I haven't slept much lately....I think its finally catching up to me..." Teo lied. "Here sit down....you should sleep then." Yami said.

I look back at Teo and frown in concern then walk over to him, smiling. "Hey champ, how you holding up?" I ask.

Teo looked and forced a huge smile "I'm just fine Onee-chan!" He said he jumped up and pumped his fist. "I just needed to sit for a while! I feel 100% better!" He laughed.
Yami raised an eyebrow "Well....if you say so...."

Tapirmon chuckled at Yami's joke. Offhand, he spoke to Hewlett and Waspy.
"He's joking, of course. This cathedral was stored on a computer at some point - and deleted data ends up here in one form or another." Hewlett nodded. Makes sense to me, he thought.
Observing Teo's unusual behavior, Hewlett decided to cheer the lad up. He walked over to him, sat down beside him and asked;
"Hey Teo - I'll bet this place is full of secrets. You want to come with and check things out?"

Teo smiled "I'd love to Aniki!" Teo said he became excited and forgot about how he felt.
Yami looked at Hewlett "Actually, he should be resting.....Someone as young as Teo should get as much rest as possible."
"Oh c'mon Yami-san I already said I feel fine besides you act like your that much older then me." Teo pouted.
"Well I don't think I'm as young as you either are age is limitless." Yami said. Suddenly, right on cue SMACK!!!!
Yami fell on his face "NII-SAN!!! WHAT THE HELL???!!!" Yami said covering his nose as it bled.
Teo laughed hysterically he handed Yami a tissue he kept in his back pocket. "I'll be careful okay "Oji-san"" Teo joked he then grabbed Hewletts hand.
"I'm ready." Teo smiled.

Hewlett and Teo, with their partners in tow, left the main room through a heavy wooden door at the back, and entered a smaller corridor of hewn stone. There were noticeable signs of age on the walls, and curious signs carved into the floor - concentric circle patterns, triangles, and even a crucifix surrounded by squares.
"I don't suppose any of you guys know what these are?" Hewlett asked.
As he recieved negative responses, his eyes were drawn to a teardrop symbol, which glowed a brilliant green as Teo stepped on it. "Interesting..."
