I looked down at the book. "Let's find out." I said and opened the book up to the first page.

The book was, jarringly, written in plain English. It read as so:
"Reader - as you are reading this, I must assume that you have discovered you lack knowledge on this world of Digital Monsters. This is no fault of your own - it is at times a confusing and mindbogglingly bizarre place. However, I shall endeavour to educate you as best I can on anything you need know about." The text suddenly fizzled away and a black, square screen expanded from the page until it was all that was there. The book flattened and it ended up looking very much like an iPad, bar the fact that it was still bound in red leather and had the front cover attached. The book now spoke as well as displaying type, and its voice was pleasantly akin to that of Steven Fry.
"Do not panic. The book is simply adjusting itself to suit your level of technological attainment. Please select your subject from the menu, or offer the book a query verbally. Take your time, it can wait."

I whistle. "You dont see that everyday." Yami said, followed by a smacking sound. "Well, you dooont!" A now whiney Yami said. I look over at Teo. "What should we ask first?" I say, tilting my head.

Yami was rubbing his head Teo smiled "Um...lets see how about....where Hewlett is?" Teo said.
"Its a book of knowledge not a person locater..." Yami replied. "Hm...right....how about what happened to this place?" Teo said.

I nod and turn back to the book. "What happened here?" I ask. "I probably look like an idiot, talking to a book-thing. Oh well, we're in another world, guess this would be pretty normal compared to everything else that goes on here." I thought.

The book spoke again, seeming a little haughty.
"The book is slightly annoyed at your description of it, but will proceed nontheless. By here, it assumes you mean the island, and it now proceeds.
A great evil Digimon, possibly a member of a consortium, came to the island and released a virus into the city. The conflict it caused led to Digimon fleeing to the edges of the island, and the virus eventually caused it to shatter into peices. These were turned into the ideal habitats of the Digimon who lived there. The island was sealed of so that the virus would not escape, and it has floated, abandoned, for a hundred-and-one years."

Yami rubbed his head "You know, I'm all for learning the infinite knowledge this book has to offer but don't you think we should be focusing our time in looking for Hewlett?"
Teo looked at Yami "Yea I guess your right." Teo turned to look at Usa "Shall we........." Teo's vision became blurry and he stumbled until he couldn't stand and fell face first into the ground.
"Teo!? Geez! Why does he always do this...." Yami said.

"Gomen, Onee-chan, I'm just a little exhausted from all this running...gomen but I am tired..." Teo went off into a sleep.
"He's always tired...I guess its to be expected." Yami turned to face Usa "Usa, you and nii-san go look for Hewlett I'll watch over Teo we can cover more ground this way."

Yami rubbed his head "My oh my, have I really become that unreliable?" Yami said. "He's fine after all I'm his digimon Its my job to protect him."

"It's not that Yami, its just, I dont want to spilt the group up." I said. I sat down and opened the book again. "Maybe we should learn more about what's going on..." Vee said as he layed down, watching our surroundings.

Hewlett began pacing as the cave became white space and the sensation of movement, akin to being in a motor vehicle, began affecting them.
It didn't make any sense to them. And it wasn't likely to start anytime soon.
"Hey, Tapirmon," he enquired of the mammalian Digimon. "Any new ideas on where we are?" Tapirmon shook his head. Hewlett growled and threw himself backwards - and he drifted away. He panicked and floated back up, and Tapirmon suddenly jumped up and smiled.
"Now I know where we are - we're in a group seeing session. One, or both, of us must have triggered it." Waspy frowned.
"Oh, okay, Tapes, thanks. Now what do we do?" Hewletts turn to frown. The last time he saw, he ended up blind for a while. He didn't fancy that again.
Of course, that was when he saw forwards again - visions of a great knight in black and gold with mighty wings, flanked by a powerful white warrior and a strange grey creature.
And then something else called all three of them out of the dream, and called Usa, Teo, Yami and Vee to the same place they were going.
Tapirmons peers may have been slow to get going, but once they had, they weren't going to mess around.
