I shrug."Not like we have anything better to do." I say as we start walking toward thenew area. "Usa, I should probably digivolve to V-mon, just in case anything is out there." Vee said. I nod and hold out my D-3. "Chibimon Shinka! V-mon!" "There, now I can protect you better." he said, smiling. I smile back as we keep walking.

As Seadramon reared for a strike to Teo, a primal roar came from behind them and Apemon leapt from the ground with a great tree in his hands. He struck the serpent clean on the nose, and, dazed for the moment, it sank beneath the waves.
"Child, it may be in our favour if we move to the higher ground as soon as possible," he said, gesturing towards a cliff on another island, some thirty meters away. "If needs be, I can swim you across - after all, you aren't used to this."

Teo looked at Apemon "You came?" He listened to what Apemon had to say then looked at Yami. "Yami-san....he isn't moving." Teo said as he was lifted atop the digital prime ape's shoulder.
Yami twitched, barely conscious, in his crater from being attacked with Seadramon's tail. Seadramon after a while of being underwater re-submerged with a mighty roar he became fixated on Apemon.
Seadramon slithered out of the water onto the sand, he lunged himself towards Apemon in attempt to grab him with its mighty jaws.
"Apemon! Look out!" Teo cried.

Apemon leapt to the left and rolled into the water.
"Apologies, child. This is going to be a bumpy ride." He projected a solid construct of holy energy from his ring and began surfing across the channel of foamy water between the two islands, even as Seadramons flailing tail sent wave after wave towards them.
Beneath the great ape, Teo could see the myriad of smaller aquatic Digimon fleeing the scene - there, a pink mollusc; and there, a white otter with an orange mohawk. With a great leap from a crested wave, Apemon arrived on the side of the cliff and began his climb, King Kong style.

Hewlett ambled behind Usa, Waspy hovering at forearm level. The four of them dropped down onto the floor of the lower level and found that it was uncomfortably dark. Hewlett had a sudden brainwave and opened his laptop and began to code. He transferred the finished code to his USB and plugged this into the side of his Digivice.
"Uh... Hewlett? What are you doing, exactly?" Hewlett smiled a kind of smug, happy, contented smile, pressed a few buttons on the face of the Digivice, and held it forward. It projected a beam of light and within this formed two night-vision goggles. He took them, unplugged the USB and returned it to the laptop, and then offered one pair to Usa.

I quirk an eyebrow but take them. "Good with computer codes? What are you, some kind of genius?" I ask, as I put my workshop goggles back around my neck and put on the night-vision goggles.

Seadramon turned his head and dived into the water he was a much faster swimmer then Apemon so he was moving on them rather quickly. Luckily for Apemon and Teo they had just enough of a head start to reach the next island and begin climbing.
Seadramon raised its head as it watched the ape climb the cliff as if it were second nature. Unfortunately, luck does not shine forever the cliff was big in size and it would take a considerable amount of time for them to reach the top.
Seadramon opened its mouth shards of ice fired towards the cliff, it was Seadramon's special attack Ice Arrow it crashed into the cliff above Apemon. The cliff became quickly unstable as it cracked around the shards of Ice which now were protruding form its side rocks large and small fell down the cliff towards Apemon and Teo.
Teo covered his head instinctively as any frightened person would do. Luckily the rocks missed there intended targets bashing against one another causing them to fall away from the cliff just enough for it to miss. Seadramon prepared to attack again this time the two wouldn't be so lucky.
Just as Seadramon locked on it seemed he picked up a hitch hiker on top his head Yami could be seen battered, bleeding and weakened Yami took his fist and drove it into Seadramon's left eye.
"Leave.....Them....ALONE!" Yami cried.
Seadramon went berserk his eye throbbing and blind he began to sway violently back and forth in an attempt to fling off his unwanted guest. Seadramon quickly submerged underwater and re submerged over and over Yami was holding on for dear life the serpent submerged once more as he decided to drown his rider.
Teo began to tear up "Yami.....Yami-san...." Teo turned to Apemon "Apemon please! Go after him! You have to help him! Please!" Teo cried. The two still hanging from the cliff wall.

Apemon frowned. He knew that right now, Yami was too weak to Digivolve, but even if he wasn't, Seadramon had the upper hand. The huge lump of solid virus embedded in the serpents head was only half of the problem - the Digimon would have its system full of it. He needed to heal Yami, destroy the solid virus and get Yami away from the danger.
He was never coming out of that as he was now.
Apemon raised his left hand and began to focus, building up all of his power and the power in his holy ring. A blinding glow began to coalesce in his palm, and with a roar of fury, Apemon released all the holy power in a huge, pulsing beam. It first struck Yami, and healed his wounds, granted him energy before transporting him onto Teos head. It then hit Seadramon, obliterating the virus shard and knocking him out temporarily. So strong was its force that it propelled Apemon, Teo and Yami up on to the grassy clifftop.
The beam abruptly cut out, and, enveloped in white light, Apemon started to change...

Hewlett smiled that smug smile again.
"Well, now that you mention it, yeah." He pulled the strap on the goggles over the back of his head and let the lenses snap onto his glasses. "Much better. Now, let's see if we can't find an exit..." Hewlett and Waspy began to explore the cavern. It wasn't too long before they bumped into a large, purple, furry mass...

Teo didn't understand what had happened but whatever it was all he knew now was Seadramon was gone and Yami lay in front of him.
"Yami!" Teo yelled as he crawled to him "Yami....Yami-san!" Teo said tears streaming down his face. "Please wake up! I'm sorry! All I ever do is get you in trouble. Its all my fault...." Teo said resting his head on Yami's stomach.
"Oi, oi, oi! That water is cold...." Yami said he sat up and smiled at Teo. "Yami your okay!" Teo said hugging him tightly. "Yea, I saw this bright light and the next thing I know I'm here....Ow! I'm still sore though."
"Oh sorry." Teo let go. "Okay time to set things straight Teo....you need to stop blaming yourself for everything....you didn't ask me to fight I did it because I wanted to...to protect you." Yami said.
Meanwhile Seadramon had regained consciousness all though the virus lump had been destroyed he already had been far to infected to stop its rampage. Seadramon slithered back on land and began making its way up the cliff using the Ice shards from earlier has climbing marks.
"I-I'm sorry." "Thats another thing! You gotta stop apologizing for everything its unhealthy have a little more confidence! Like I said before, I'd fight the virus alone at my baby stage if it meant protecting you." Yami smiled giving a thumbs up.
Teo smiled wiping the tears from his face "Ri-right....arigato Yami-san"
At that moment Seadramon had reached the top of the cliff infuriated he let out a bone shaking roar. Yami jumped up "Teo! Get out of here!" Yami said.
Teo's fear rushed back to him he wanted to run but he felt the time to run was over. "N-no!" Yami turned to him "Teo!"
"No more running, you say I'm your partner right? Well partners stick together no matter what! I'm going to fight with you! 'Cause I can't bear to see Yami hurt anymore!" Teo said he stood up and pumped his fist.
"Teo....." Yami smiled and looked towards Seadramon as he slithered completely on land. "Alright then......lets fight together...partner!"
Teo felt a power inside him explode similar to the time he first met Yami. "This is.....digi-soul!" Teo said as a gold aura appeared around his hand. Yami began to charge Seadramon he jumped at him.
Teo closed his eyes then gave a serious look "Yami! Here it is! The power of my heart! Digi-soul! Charge!!!!!!!" Teo placed his hand over his iC the digivice scanned his digi-soul and a beam of light erupted from it.
"V-mon! Shinkaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! V-dramon!!!!!!!" Yami became a large blue dragon with two horns where his ears should be he had a smaller one just above his mouth next to it what appeared to be a scar. On his stomach he had a blue 'V'.
Yami tackled the Seadramon with his head the two flew off the side of the cliff plummeting to the sands below a giant sand cloud erupted into the air upon impact. When the sand dimmed down Yami had his claw squeezing Seadramon's throat.
"Whats wrong? You seem a lot weaker now Seadramon! Ha ha ha!" Yami said he clenched his fist "Hammer....PUNCH!" Yami threw his mighty punch into the face of Seadramon cracking the armor he wore. Seadramon slid across the sands Seadramon raised its head letting out a roar.
"Is that supposed to intimidate me?" Yami let out a roar of his own Seadramon flung its tail in an attempt to smash Yami, Yami jumped back then grabbed his tail with both arms. "Now I have you!" Yami with all his might flung Seadramon into the side of the cliff.
Rocks fell on top of Seadramon, Seadramon shook them off and retreated into the water. "Yea, you better run." Yami punched his fist into his open palm. "Amazing!" Teo said.
Yami turned around and looked up at Teo giving a thumbs up just then Seadramon resurfaced with an attack at the ready. "Yami! Look out!" Teo yelled. Yami turned "What?" Seadramon fired its Ice Arrow attack at Yami. "Tsk...V-Breath Arrow!" Yami shot his powerful stream which burned through the Ice and entered Seadramon's mouth exiting from the back of its head.
"You should have ran when I decided to let you go...." Yami said smoke was coming out of Seadramon's mouth as his body disappeared into the crystal blue sea. Yami climbed back up to meet Teo.
"You were amazing Yami!" Teo said "No we were amazing!" Yami said as he regressed into V-mon. The two gave a high five "Hey where is Apemon?" Yami asked. "Oh yea! Things got so hectic I forgot about him!" Teo said the two turned to see Apemon only something was way different.
"Ape....mon?" The two said in unison.

I bump into Hewlett and fall back on my butt. "Oi, genius, dont stop so suddenly." I said then notice Vee's wide eyes. I turn and notice a giant mole with a drill on its face. "Oh." is all I can think to say.

The hulking purple mole turned with a kind of beastly elegance to face the two humans and their Digimon partner, staring at them with eyes like burning coals. Its lips peeled back to reveal a set of sharp fangs as the drills on its nose and digit-tips began to spin at an alarming speed.
"I think we should run now."

"That," I say dryly, "is an excellent idea." Vee and I turn and start running in the opposite direction of the mole digimon. "I'm never complaining about moles in my garden ever again." I mutter.

They ran through the cave, leaping over rocks and crevices as the viral Drimgoemon tore through the environment in hot pursuit. Hewlett and Waspy were ahead of Usa and Vee by a good two meters when they realised that the great mole was no longer behind them.
"I guess we lost him, eh?" Usa was about to respond when the ground beneath them exploded and the raging Digimon burst through the floor. "Bugger."

Apemon was no longer the ten foot, long-armed yellow simian he had been - he was now a small (perhaps the size of the average Setter) brown-furred animal with a steel helmet and a pig-like nose, from which emerged two short tusks. His back legs dissolved into a thick cloud and he wore his holy ring around his front left leg. He spoke to himself in a soft, and yet somehow authoritative voice.
"Hm. I'm alive." He looked up at his companions. "Did it work?"

Teo and Yami both turned to each other and blinked then looked back at the new digimon.
"You regressed to Tapirmon?" Yami said "You must have run out of energy doing that thing with the light." Teo said.
"Speaking of which what was that power? It was similar to the light of evolution." Yami said. "Uh....guys.....I don't see the island we came from." Teo said.
A thick fog covered the horizon due to a change in weather Yami looked as his voice echoed "Now what do we do? We got separated from the others."

I scowl and stomp my foot. "Ugh! Why are these Digimon chasing us?!" I exclaim. "Its the virus shard." Vee said. "It makes them do things they dont normally do." I frown and then remember what happened with the Gururumon earlier. "Hewlett-kun, we got to find the shard and destroy it, then he'll go back to normal." I say, turning to him.

"Way ahead of you. Waspy?"
"Awright. Let's dance." Waspy flew upwards at an impressive speed and began firing barbed stingers at the snarling Drimogemon, bellowing "Gear Stinger!" with a ferocity one would not expect from his cool, composed voice. As these were fired, Vee charged his foe and, propelled by an impressive leap, struck him square in the chin - but a single swipe of the much larger Digimons paw sent the two flying.
Usa and Hewlett ran over to their partners as Drimogemon checked his wounds.
"You okay, bud?"
"Yeah, I'm good." Hewlett looked over at Usa.
"How's Vee feeling?"
