Twenty-four hours on the Oceans Blue

[Usachan]

Vee got back up. "Im good." he said. "He's too powerful for you both." I say. "I'll fight for you Usa-chan, until my last breath. You're not only my partner, youre my friend too." he said. I nod, agreeing. Just then, the odd stone began to glow and rose, circling around Vee. "V-mon armor shinka! Lighdramon!" A big blue and black dragon dog with lightning bolts in his armor was standing in front of us. I gape. "Vee, how did you do that?" I ask.

[Hewlett]

Hewlett stood back as the object Usa had found exploded into white light and enveloped Vee, transforming Vee into a large lizard-canine and the object into body armour on various parts of the new Digimon.
It leapt at Drimogemon and began assaulting it with electrical attacks, dodging its blows with lightning speed. The mighty mole became angrier, and angrier, and eventually, the group had no choice.

Tapirmon floated up as he began searching for Hewlett, Usa, Waspy and Vee. He frowned.
"They're... far below us... somewhere under the cliff. They must have fallen into the cave network." He then focused even harder. "Hrn... I've reached... my associates. They'll have a shortcut in... twenty...one hours." He dropped to the ground and began pacing the floor as it started to rain. There was a flash of lighting - and the ground in front of them exploded in a burst of electricity as Hewlett and Usa emerged on the back of a large black-armoured, blue-skinned lizard-dog, with Waspy behind them.
"Run."

[Teo Sage]

"Nani?" Teo said "Run? From what?" Teo asked "Nii-san?" Yami said.

Suddenly from behind Teo and Yami the ground collapsed as a giant mole like creature appeared. They both screamed in unison "RUN!!!" The two said as they ran past Lighdramon.

[Usachan]

I feel my backpack wriggle and I look back to see Kulumon poking out his sleepy looking head out. "Wha happened?" he asks in a groggy voice. "Oh, not much, just being chased by a very angry Drimogemon." I say very calmly. Kulumon's eyes widen. "Thats not good, kulu." he says. "Ya, we know. That's why we are running." Vee says.

[Hewlett]

The Drimogemon was not fast, but it was big enough to cover ground fairly quickly. If the group had not leapt onto Vees back and fled so fast they could run on water, it was doubtful that they would have survived.
"In all my life, I have never known something suck as much as this situation. Ever." Hewlett laughed at this, semi hysterical and semi genuine - he was enjoying the thrill of the moment, like the times he was almost caught hacking sensitive material.
The group found fleeing difficult, for the storm had turned the clement, bubbly waters into frothing waves, which were still warm and pleasant in temperature, but this was hard to appreciate when they were slapping your face. Eventually, Vee stopped running, and, as Drimogemon neared and bellowed with rage, he launched a mighty bolt of blue lightning down the beasts throat.
An explosion of electrical energy blew out in the belly of the beast and from within was catapulted a virus shard, which Tapirmon neatly caught between his teeth before disintegrating it with his holy ring.

[Teo Sage]

"Those shards are somethin'" Yami said a loud "Why do you say that." Teo asked. "Drimogemon is not an aggressive digimon he seldom comes up from the tunnels he digs. After all he isn't fond of the sunlight plus of all places to be why tunnel near a beach where the sun shines the brightest? It doesn't add up." Yami said.

"What about Seadramon and Igamon?" Teo asked "Well, Seadramon seemed to be normal but something was off, there known to have almost no intelligence they act on instinct alone usually they can be scared off if you prove yourself stronger then them but he fought against Apemon and I to the point where we had to kill him."

"As for Igamon I've been wondering for a while they don't usually fight without good reason it isn't like him to fight against someone weaker then him they never show themselves unless they were hired by someone." Yami finished. Yami turned to face Tapirmon "If you ask me, I don't think we have been running into these infected ones by accident....there hunting someone....someone like you maybe?" Yami asked suspicious of Tapirmon.

[Hewlett]

"They aren't hunting me, Yami. They're hunting them." he said, gesturing to Usa, Hewlett and Teo. "The virus has been modified by the Dark Digimon who created it, so that the infected hunt for humans. They are a threat to his plans, whatever they are, and he wants them destroyed." Realising that Yami looked even more suspicious, he finished up simply. "I spoke to my peers, remember?"

[Teo Sage]

Yami nodded "Still...I have yet to see these peers of yours...." Yami said Teo became upset. "Stop blaming Tapirmon! Its not fair! Just because you don't know about his past doesn't mean he is the reason were being attacked! Afterall he saved us! You shouldn't be questioning him you should be thanking him!" Yami was taken off guard by Teo's tone of voice.

"Now apologize cause if it wasn't for Tapirmon you wouldn't be here right now!" Yami looked at Teo "I'm only trying to look out for you! but your right.....I'm sorry Tapirmon....thank you for saving my life earlier." Yami said with a slight bow.

"Gomen, Tapirmon...I trust you." Teo said.

[Usachan]

I sigh. "It's been a long day for all of us." I say, trying to soothe the tension that still lingered. "We should stop and take a break." I say, hopping down off of Vee's back.

[Hewlett]

Hewlett followed Usas example, mainly because she was right.
"Tapirmon," he said, "You've explained yourself. That should be enough - I trust you and what you say. Now, how long do we have left before we can move on?" Tapirmon frowned.
"I... I don't know, sir. However, we'll know when the shortcut opens, so I'd suggest you, milady and the young sir got some sleep." Hewlett smiled, and Waspy, hovering as ever by his shoulder, nodded.
"I'd go for it, boss. He knows what he's talking about."

[Usachan]

I nod as Vee devolves to Chibimon. I take Kulumon out of my backpack and set him down. I lay down and use my backpack as a pillow, Vee curls up on one side of me and Kulumon on the other.

[Teo Sage]

Yami felt defeated he felt as if everyone stood against him he only questioned what he thought was suspicious he wanted to protect his brother and Teo. So, why didn't anyone realize that?

Teo ran over to Hewlett, Tapirmon, and Waspy "Hewlett! Tapirmon was fantastic! He saved me from this big sea monster! You should have seen it he was so cool!" Teo said he was very hyper and began to explain as every child does in a dramatic way the event of Seadramon.

Yami couldn't believe it even after all that happened Teo praised Tapirmon more then him Teo's partner. Yami saddened went over to a nearby patch of grass and lay there alone. He slowly fell asleep.

"But then Yami evolved for the first time! And he beat Seadramon and saved the day! So, yea! It was great! Yami and Tapirmon...although Yami is still cooler sorry Tapirmon no offense!" Teo said with a slight chuckle patting Tapirmon on the head.

Teo gave a big smile as he looked at Yami "Oh he already fell asleep..." He turned back to Hewlett "Mind if I sleep near you guys? I don't wanna wake Yami from his sleep he certainly earned it and Onee-chan fell asleep to...." Teo said he gave a small yawn and rubbed his left eye.

[Hewlett]

The group settled down for the night as Hewlett coded up some sleeping bags. They retreated as far back up the beach as possible, in order to avoid the tide should it come in, and soon fell asleep.
Some hours later, a spectral mirror emerged from a void of shadow and floated over the group as they slept, watching them. The ornate, yet harrowing, claw-like decorations of the Demon Consortium surrounded the two-way looking glass in the centre and on the other side, a dark anf vicious foe observed his enemies.
He would leave them a while, he decided. Let them seek the City - and then he would strike. The mirror faded again into oblivon.

[Usachan]

I toss and turn in my sleep, the nightmares I thought I had long ago lost when I was a child. The darkness is chasing me and I'm backed into a corner, just as the darkness strikes....."No!" I yell and sit up in bed. "Usa-chan, you ok?" Vee says sleepily. I blink and nod. "Y-ya, Im fine. Just a nightmare...." I say.

[Hewlett]

Hewlett was woken by a loud cry. He lifted himself up and turned in the direction of the noise, and found Usa, hugging her knees and crying. Damn, he thought, I don't know how to deal with this. Still, he had to try - if he was supposed to lead this group, he'd have to make the effort.
Hewlett crawled over to the sobbing girl and, as softly and sympathetically as he could muster, he asked;
"Usa? What's wrong?"
