Dante nodded. Wizardmon hadn't said much, but he'd given Dante several good bits of information. They had come from the forest, in which they'd faced down two huge bugs. Okay, then. The forest was out.
"I see," he said, nodding, "Then we're definitely the same somehow, Inori. Nyaromon's got a similar story behind her. So which way should we go? I just came down from the mountain there. Didn't see too much, actually, but maybe I wasn't looking."
He didn't mind letting them pick the way, particularly seeing as he had been heading towards the forest, and they were just there.
"I'm kind of apathetic at the moment, so whichever way you want to go. Nyaromon doesn't really care either, by her own admission."
Nyaromon was still sitting there in his arms reveling in that special feeling being scratched in just the right spot gave cats. As she had said, she was very obviously good with whatever happened next.

"Our options are to either locate Shiv...or keep moving without him." Wizardmon stated thoughtfully. "He may be fine on his own..but he may also find himself in some trouble if it is just him and his two partners."
Inori rubbed her face with her hand as she considered the options. "I guess we -could- wander in the general direction that Shiv may be...but I really don't know that I want to go out of my way to look for him. What kind of person just ditches another when they know the other is in less then ideal condition?"
Wizardmon shrugged at this, not intending on offering his thoughts on Shiv. "That general direction it is." He mused, gesturing vaugly towards where he recalled the digivice had pointed out Shiv's location. Inori kept an even expression as she moved in the direction indicated.

Dante kept silent until Inori started walking.
"If we find him, I can hold him down while you beat an answer out of him..."
The sad part was he wasn't entirely joking. What kind of guy, apart from Dante himself, abandoned a partner when that partner was obviously in no shape to fend for herself? Dante knew he would do it if that partner's continued company was more hazardous than going it alone, but what could possibly have happened to create that kind of scenario? She seriously didn't look like she knew the definition of mean. Whatever the guy's reason, Dante was almost sure he wouldn't understand it. There was just too much that didn't make sense. Then again, he was holding a yellow cat thing and following a girl he'd never met before who traveled with a cloaked figure who was every bit as mysterious as she was, and considerably more dangerous.
"So who is this Shiv fellow, anyway? And did I hear he has two partners?"

"I...don't think beating him up will be necessary." Inori replied carefully. She didn't seem to want to hurt anyone. Shrugging, she continued. "Shiv is some boy who was wandering around in the forest. We had to fend off those two large bugs..."
"Kawagamon and Yanmamon." Wizardmon interjected.
"Right..two large bugs. Regardless after the fight was over he more or less just booked it away from us." She frowned. "Wizardmon got injured in the fight but...that isn't a reason to ditch someone is it?"
Wizardmon shifted to adjust his cloak idly. "If I were useless perhaps, but I most certainly am not. As for his two partners...I do not know if they both were or not, but irregardless, he has two digimon tailing him. Yin and Yang..."
Inori grinned slightly. "I guess at least I can take solace in knowing my partner is not a pink blob like one of his is."
Wizardmon chuckled quietly at this.

Dante also chuckled at the comment. His partner suited him just fine. She wasn't pink, and she seemed the typical cat. He almost wished for a battle just so he could see what she was capable of. What kind of power could a cat bring to bear against an enemy? Nothing really sprang to mind, but that didn't mean that she had no powers. It would be interesting when that time came.
"So he just ditched you for no apparent reason? Maybe he didn't like your partner showing his up in battle?"
It was such a stupid reason to abandon someone, but he'd seen people do it before. One of his many proofs that people weren't worth sticking your neck out for, incidentally.
"...or maybe he couldn't deal with the fact that you're better looking than him, or something. In any case, dude sounds like a real jerk."
It should be noted that not once over the course of the previous statement did he look Inori over at all. To date he hadn't taken note of her beyond her hair, her eyes, and her shut-in style tendencies. He was more focused on the idea that this Shiv person they were talking about didn't seem like he was worth the time to learn his reasons. Still, not like he had anything better to do, eh?

Inori blinked, then started laughing at Dante's comments. "Always possible I suppose."
"I can hardly help that his partners and I are on different levels." Wizardmon noted. "Not to sound particularly arrogant or over-confident, that is."
Wizardmon sounded like he was stating a fact really. One that was only partially true. He could help which form he remained in...it was not that hard to revert back to one of his previous states. He just had no intention of doing so. This form suited him far better than his others did.
"You'll have to explain this whole different levels thing to me again later, Wizardmon." Inori commented offhandedly.
"Of course..." He responded idly. "Whenever you feel later may be..."

Dante shrugged.
"It's totally not your fault, Wizardmon. If the guy really did object to you being more powerful, then that's his problem."
He waved his hand dismissively.
"Enough about that guy. He sounds like a real winner..."
He made sure to make it obvious that his opinion of Shiv so far wasn't a flattering one.
"How did you come to be here, Inori-san? I took a trip to Tokyo Tower and found this little number. Should have known better than to go to that crazy place. Everything weird that happens in manga happens there..."

"I was booting up my computer to do homework, and then I was here really." Inori shrugged. "I thought it was just some computer virus..."
"Wait did you say Tokyo Tower?" Inori glanced to Dante. "That really is like something out of a manga!"
Wizardmon took on a confused tone yet again. "What is a manga?"
Inori couldn't help but laugh at this.

Dante nodded at Inori, then laughed along with her as Wizardmon interjected.
"Basically, Wizardmon, it's a story written with pictures. Most all of them agree that Tokyo Tower is where all the weird stuff happens. My friends dared me to go there, seeing as we're all nerds, and I was telling them that they were all sissies for not being willing to go there at least once. They gave me some money for the train and told me to send them pictures to prove I didn't chicken out. Wait'll they hear that I vanished. That'll teach 'em."
He chuckled again.
"So you got hit with a computer virus, and I was stupid enough to stand in Tokyo Tower. Whoever brought us here obviously has a sense of humor..."

Inori smiled lightly. "A dare huh?" She wouldn't admit it to him of course, but she was maybe a little jealous. She didn't really have the friends to offer or be offered dares.
"I am not certain how much of a sense of humor the one who brought us all together here has" Wizardmon mused. "It was likely sheer convinience of location and events."

Dante chuckled sheepishly at the charge.
"Yup, a dare. Real mature, I know, but everyone has their irrational fears and stuff, right?"
Usually he wouldn't be so easily embarrassed, but this, apparently, was a special case. He'd come to this world and met Nyaromon entirely on a dare. No matter how you phrased it, that was just silly.
Wizardmon's assessment, while logical, made Dante scrunch up his face a bit.
"I don't know if I like that idea, though. Makes it sound like we were all just plucked randomly from the human world. Seems to me like we were chosen. I mean, if you're just looking for humans, why go to the trouble of pulling them here? Why not just open the way and see who comes?"
Dante shrugged.
"Like I know what I'm talking about anyway. I'm hanging out with a cat, a wizard, and a shut-in, no offense to any of you, and looking for a yutz who hangs out with a pink blob. None of this world makes sense, but at least it's better than the world I left."

"That is not what I meant." Wizardmon commented. "I meant the locations you were chosen to be taken from your world to this one were likely out of convenience...not out of humor. Not that you yourself were chosen out of convenience."
Inori didn't seem too upset about being called a shut in, but she didn't seem particularly happy about it either. She settled for a shrug. "I think I could do without the giant bugs...or the reaction from my parents when they realize I am gone..." She winced. "Oh, that is not going to be pleasant at all.

Dante nodded as Wizardmon clarified his position.
"That makes more sense. Pretty much got to reach us wherever we are, I guess. It's still funny, though."
He chuckled with a small degree of nervousness when Inori brought up the idea of having to confront the parents when they returned.
"Yeah, could be fun when we get back. On the up side, Tokyo Tower gets more publicity. Even with giant bugs to deal with here, though, I have absolutely no problems with this place so far. Just think about it, Inori. When you get back, you can tell your parents that you made a friend who swatted two giant bugs. They won't know how to react, I can pretty much guarantee it."
He smiled as he thought about what his friends would say when he told them half the stuff that had gone on that day.

Inori grinned awkwardly. "I don't know what my parents would do. Probably freak out for a while, then thank him for keeping the bugs from smiting me or some such."
Wizardmon smiled to himself for a moment. "I would be a poor excuse for a partner if I did not save you...but, if I may change the topic for a moment, would it be possible for us to stop and rest for a moment? I..."
Wizardmon paused, debating his words carefully. "Recovery is a slow process for me...maintaining this form takes up much of my energy. Walking certainly does not speed the process up."
"Ahh...sorry, I should have asked." Inori winced, seeming to actually feel bad about what she thought probably made her seem a little un-compassionate.
Wizardmon shook his head and waved his hand in a dismissive gesture, not really bothered by this. He peered up at Dante and Nyaromon, hoping it would not be a problem for them as well. Part of him was cursing at making himself seem so weak...but it was his choice to keep his form and one he rarely regretted...the extended recovery time included.

Dante arched a brow.
"Fine by me, but couldn't you just shift to a lower form long enough to recover, then resume that form once you're strong enough?"
He didn't mean to seem insensitive, but it seemed only logical. Lower forms required less upkeep, so were good for recovering. Higher forms required more upkeep, but were more powerful. Logic would suggest more time spent in lower forms. He wondered if Nyaromon would start preferring her higher forms as well, but had absolutely nothing to go on to support the idea one way or the other.
