Yang hops down from Shiv's shoulder, running up to Wizardmon.
"Hiya Wizzy!" He shouts, "You're looking better! I Knew you'd pull through! You're too strong to be down for long at all! Not like us! We needed to train! And we did! We've gotten much stronger!"
He glances around, then noticing Dante and Nyaromon, hops with glee.
"Hey! New friends! Hi! I'm Yang! I'm so glad to see you! What's your name?!"
With a speed that seems supernaturally fast, Yang is suddenly in front of Dante and Nyaromon.
"Oh my Gosh!" He shouts, staring at Nyaromon, "She's so cute! How do you get your fur in such a nice sheen!? I'm Yang! Nice to meet you, friend! And You! So big and tough! I like you already! And don't worry! I will be friends with you even if you are not a girl!"
He continues hopping around Dante and Nyaromon, viewing them from all angles repeatedly, like a child in a candy store after shotgunning five bags of Pixie Stix.

Dante and Nyaromon both didn't know what to make of Yang. Nyaromon was happy to be up in Dante's arms away from the crazy pink blob down there. Dante was just weirded out. He kinda wanted to plant his hand on the thing's head just to get it to hold still for a little while. And something about being able to be friends even though Dante wasn't a girl?
Dude seriously needs to chill... Dante commented to himself.
"Okay, seriously dude. You need to slow down. One thing at a time."
He looked up at Shiv.
"I believe you have a story to tell, hmmm? Start talking; she'll let you know when she's satisfied."
Meanwhile, Nyaromon was still quite wary of the energetic pink blob. It kind of bothered her, in that it didn't seem to stop for a breath even for a second. She wondered if it would explode if its mass of latent kinetic energy wasn't given such an outlet. This thought lightened her mood, although she felt it wiser to keep it to herself.

Shiv looks up from Yang.
"I think Yang actually said it best." He states in a polite, matter-of-fact tone, "Wizardmon is too powerful for me to accurately gauge my partners' abilities. Wizardmon was mildly injured, yes, but nowhere near enough that he wouldn't be able to protect Inori if something happened. I saw this with a cursory glance, so I thought that of course his partner would recognize such a thing as well.
With this in mind, I also knew that had I ran at the point when I did, neither Inori nor Wizardmon would be able to keep up. I mean, speaking truly, would either of you had acquiesced had I asked to go off on my own? Wizardmon and Inori both enjoy the thought of safety in numbers, and Inori is still becoming aquainted with her surroundings. I see all of these things in my trivial observations of them, and my advice is this:"
He takes a deep breath, angling a stern look at Inori,
"You are stuck here for the foreseeable future, you might as well trust someone, so it might as well be him."
And with that, Shiv walks over to Dante, grabs Yang in mid hop, resolutely puts Yang on his shoulder, and sticks his hand out in a friendly manner to help Dante up.
"And I apologize for being remiss in my manners. My name is Shiv Deeviant. I am a chosen child from America, my partner is Yang the Motimon, and I travel with his brother, Yin the Kyokyomon. I have no intention of leaving again under the current circumstances, and hope that should I have need to do so again, we will be friendly enough that I can tell you directly. To whom do I have the honor of speaking to?"

Wizardmon spoke up before Inori even had a chance.
"Who my partner chooses to trust is her choice. What right do you have to offer her advice on trust when you yourself cannot prove to be trustworthy?" The wizard digimon pointed his staff at Shiv as he spoke, tone defensive, and a little demanding. "Had you even thought to ask? To say: I need to gauge my partner's abilities...we should part company for a short while...instead of running? Or perhaps you could have asked if the next time something came along, you could handle it to test your partners? I for one would have understood. Better then you would imagine. How do you think I came to this form without the aid of another?"
Wizardmon shifted slightly, straightening up to his full (albiet not terribly impressive) height. "You were wrong. If another digimon as powerful as the two insects had attacked, I likely could -not- have protected her as efficiently as you seem to think. Maintaining this form is very taxing--"
Wizardmon fell silent mid sentence as Inori leaned over to carefully placed a hand on his shoulder. He glanced up to her for a moment confused before lowering his staff. It was an odd almost calming effect the gesture seemed to have on him.
"Speaking truly if you had asked to go off on your own, I would have said it was your choice. It was a mutual agreement to travel together...it would have been one for you to leave. You would be surprised how understanding people can be when you offer them an explanation for your actions. More so if you do so before you act...so do not lecture me on what I should or should not do towards others until you understand it better yourself." Inori sounded very calm as she spoke, any hints of anger or annoyance completely gone. "On a side note...I do not 'enjoy' the idea of safety in numbers...I just find it to be a good idea...one which I do believe my partner pointed out."
Inori paused to smile in an odd sort of way...one which probably should have been condescending given the situation, but seemed more of an honest smile then anything. "You really should not speak about others as if you know everything about them. It's rather unfair...for the record."
Wizardmon glanced to Yang as Inori finished, pointing at him and commenting in a faintly annoyed tone. "Do not call me Wizzy..or Wiz."
Inori blinked, then laughed slightly. "Yea, I have to agree with him there. Those are pretty terrible nicknames."

Yang starts, his mouth dropping open. He rubs his chin pondering what he heard. Shiv's gaze does not waver on the duo.
"What you feel is your own matter," he says, "I made no mistake in my decision, given the circumstances at the time. I don't make mistakes. That is not why I am here. I am here for these two."
He gestures to Yin and Yang, Yin's eyes narrow slightly.
"You would do well to listen," Shiv's eyes narrowing slightly as well, "The caliber of a person does not deem his advice poor or sound, and you would do well to realize what I say is true. Before it is tested and fails. Or do you not even care?"

"I care..." She smiled, keeping all forms of malice out of her tone. "Just not for you and the words you spin to hide your mistakes and pin them on others."
"Enough." Wizardmon sighed. "As much as I dislike what happened...we should not be fighting with each other. You were all chosen for a reason...and I do not think that reason was this."
The wizard digimon felt a little awkward trying to play the voice of reason....and while truth be told, he would be more then happy to give Shiv more of a piece of his mind then he already had. It was not going to help the situation however, and the more this all seemed to further upset Inori. That, was certainly not something he wished for.

"I agree with Wizardmon." Shiv acquiesces, "This is going nowhere fast. We should move on, maybe find some more children."
Yang hopped off of Shiv's shoulder, his eyes alight with inspiration.
"I have it!" He shouts, "If you don't like Wiz or Wizzy, what if I call you..."
He draws himself to his full height with a great, dramatic intake of air.
"W! Or 'Dubby' for short!"
Yang dances excitedly in a little circle, a great smile on his face.

Wizardmon twitched. "Or, you could just call me Wizardmon." Clearly this was a 'no way in hell are you calling me that'.
Inori managed to keep a straight face, despite wanting to chuckle at her partner's annoyance on nicknames.

Dante was finally at the limit. Energetic pink blobs and fights didn't go well together, and it was finally time to choose one or the other. He reached down as Yang got close and grabbed his head, lifting him off the ground.
"Decaf," he said before putting the little guy back down.
He stood up and faced Shiv, ready to tackle that other thing.
"I don't know what to make of you, Shiv. You seem smart enough, and your powers of assessment seem quite well honed, but you come off with this holier-than-thou type attitude and it kind of annoys me. Can't you just admit that you're in a strange world same as the rest of us with very little idea as to why you're here? You can even hang on to that 'I don't make mistakes' vibe if you want, just so long as you're honest with yourself and us. I don't know about Inori, but I'll give you a shot."
He extended his hand for a shake.
"I'm Dante. The lady with the piercing gaze here is my partner, Nyaromon."
True to his description of her, Nyaromon had her gaze firmly fixed on Shiv, watching and waiting as he sized him up. She didn't care one way or the other about him yet, but he wasn't on the group's good side as of yet. Still, he seemed okay in his bizarre fashion. Time would tell whether or not he was worthy of the friendship Dante was prepared to offer, even considering what she knew about Dante's idea of friendship.

Yang stops, but soon starts to vibrate as the act of keeping still is not possible for him.
"Dante?!" He shouts, "What a cool name! Why are you so big Dante?! How did you get that big?! Can I be that big someday?! You're so cool! I think we will be amazing friends! And you too, Nyaromon! I think that you will be fine with him as your partner! Even if he isn't a girl!"
Shiv sighs and takes Dante's hand and shakes it firmly. This team already seemed as though it was about to fall apart at the seems, but it was a team all the same. And this team would do great things, if they didn't kill each other first.
Shiv lets go of Dante's hand, and picks up Yang before it came to blows. Yang was giggling like he was crazy, which he might be. He looked at all of his new friends, this was the Best Day Ever!

Inori and Wizardmon were oddly silent throught the rant of Yang...likely trying to avoid the energetic pink digimon's attention.
Once Shiv had retrieved Yang, Wizardmon spoke up. "This way."
Inori nodded slightly to her partner, and trailed along after him as he started walking along the mountain path...down towards a field.

Dante gave Shiv a thankful look as he picked up Yang. The little guy definitely had energy, and Dante would much rather that energy be focused elsewhere. As for the blob's partner, Dante had noted the sigh before Shiv shook his hand. It seemed that he had planned on things going differently. Not that Dante cared at all for the plans of others, particularly after they had gone awry, but it was good to know. This one had plans. He had motives all his own, and that was important to remember. Until he knew a person's angle, that person couldn't be trusted. Shiv's actions as time went on would tell the tale. In the meantime, he followed Inori down the mountain.
Nyaromon didn't much mind Yang, at least not half as much as her partner seemed to. He was energetic, but harmless. What interested her more was the mistrust that seemed to form the heart of the motley crew. Inori didn't trust Shiv because he had run away from her and left her to her fate. Inori didn't trust Dante because they had only just met. Shiv didn't seem to know what to make of Dante, but he seemed to like the other two humans well enough. Dante didn't seem to trust either of them, but trusted Inori more than Shiv. It would be interesting to see which of them learned to trust first. Nyaromon said nothing, but passively observed with voluminous concealed interest.

Shiv waits a moment before following Dante. He didn't understand him at all yet, but time would tell. These children, though they were older than Shiv, were not smarter than him. Of this fact he was sure. This was not to say that they were simple, on the contrary, Shiv thought they were both rather intelligent. He would need to watch further.
Yang sat happily on Shiv's shoulder, humming a infuriatingly catchy tune, thinking about adventure. He giggles a little to himself.
Yin followed Yang, and by association Shiv. These latest events were handled quite well, surprisingly. The only thing that Yin didn't understand was why did Shiv intentionally egg on Inori and Wizardmon? Why risk such a pointless confrontation? This one was very dangerous, that was for sure. He was too unpredictable.
And thus the three stayed with the rest of the group on their way down the mountain.

Inori stopped in her tracks suddenly, glancing around briefly.
"Did you guys hear..." She stopped listening again. "A train?" "Trailmon." Wizardmon corrected. "Transportation from here to...wherever that particular one goes."
"Where does that pa--" "No idea. Let's go find out!" Wizardmon interrupted, then picked up his pace without warning.
"H-hey!" She startled, moving quicker to keep up with her partner.

Dante was caught a little off guard by the sudden train noises. If they were present before, he hadn't noticed them.
"Trains? I didn't hear any..."
He stopped midsentence and looked down at Nyaromon.
"What's a Trailmon?"
Nyaromon enjoyed a private chuckle before answering.
"In short, it's a train digimon. That's how we get around in this world, unless you like walking everywhere on train tracks. Didn't you hear the Trailmon last night when we were up?"
Dante shook his head.
"I heard nothing of the sort. There were train sounds last night?"
Nyaromon nodded.
"There were. Now pick up the pace, or those two will leave you behind."
Dante rolled his eyes and looked back to Shiv.
"Guess we'd better not let Inori get too far ahead, eh?"
He then took off to catch up with the girl and her partner.
