Converging in the Realm of Evil

[Atlas Jiruga]

Atlas couldn't believe his eyes. What he saw was an evil being that wasn't very pretty to look at. His giant black claws, the evil look in his eyes, his wings, his horns. He didn't know what to say. He was just hoping this was a nightmare that he could just wake up from. Renal was pretty scared to. He has seen scary digimon before but he has never seen one like this.

Atlas just watched as Yami went flying. Atlas tried to show no fear. "Atlas i don't know what to do we can't fight him unless i'm strikedramon and one little detail, we don't have our digivices!" Renal said starting to panic. "Renel calm down. There is nothing we can do but fight him." Atlas said trying to encourage renal and himself. "But you saw yami he barely did anything he just was sent flying!" Renal said shaking. "Renal yami only got hit because he wasn't thinking he just acted without listening to orders." Atlas said.

"Atlas you can't tell me your not scared" Renal said. "I am but crying and screaming isn't going to fix anything. It sure won't kill that demon. Listen all we have to do is figure out his weak spot wait for an opening and attack, brains beats bronze any day." Atlas said trying to encourage Renal. "Easier said than done and besides, he could be both we right now are only brains." Renal said. "Well we will have to see." Atlas said. "Remember we aren't alone.

[Teo Sage]

Devimon crossed its legs tapping its chair with a sinister grin as Teo made his way to comfort the wounded Yami. "You have quite the reaction time little digimon avoiding the full force of my attack." Devimon sneered.

"Yami....daijoubu?" Teo said helping him up to his feet "Yea I dodged it at the last second..." Yami cringed in pain as he grabbed his left arm. "Not completely though..." Yami said as he stood up. Devimon peered down at them. "You are the human child with the ability to sense my shards...or should I call it more of a curse? How are you still alive this place is filled with them I thought surly you would have been dead by now." Devimon asked.

Teo stared scared unable to respond Yami looked at Teo then at Devimon "Because, he isn't going to go and die because of something as weak as a shard or whatever it is! So long as I'm around and Usa's around and even the pervert he will be able to overcome his illness!" Yami yelled. Teo closed his eyes and then looked at Devimon.

"Let us out of here!" Teo said Devimon laughed

"That is your answer? Or the answer your willing to accept? That curse you have the ability to grow ill when ever a source of the foulest darkness is nearby no matter how many friends you make it won't simply go away I can tell just by looking at you your struggling to stay standing let alone conscious after all this room is the most concentrated I wonder, how much longer can you stand before me? How great would it be if these same friends that claim to help you watch you die right here in front of them. Although I expected you to have died already I'll admit some how your able to function properly even when surrounded by all of this." Devimon raised his hand.

Yami clenched his fist Teo looked at the ground.

"That is why I find you most interesting never before has a human like you appeared. As much as I'd like to see you wilt away killing you myself will be so much more satisfying that goes for you and your friends. You want to leave?" Devimon twirled his hand in a complete circle at that moment the room behind him warped and faded when it was recognizable again in its place was the Puppetry Fields an exit.

"There is your exit, come! Take it!" Devimon yelled.

"Cocky bastard..." Yami said as he got into an attack ready position. Teo just stayed there staring at the ground.

[Usachan]

I blink in surprise as an exit appears. Vee growled. "That was too easy, it's a trap." I nodded and look over at Teo then pulls him in for a hug. 'Otouto...." it was all I could say, unsure how to comfort him.

[Atlas Jiruga]

Atlas just stood there silent and waiting patiently for Devimon's next move. "We arent going to fall for such an obvious trick" Renal said glaring at Devimon. "Now stop being such a coward and give us back our digivices! If you were so strong you would fight us fairly.!" Renal said angered. "Renal control your anger he has the advantage at the moment stay calm or else he will use your anger against you." Atlas said.

[Teo Sage]

Devimon eyed them, he stared reading their faces the look of fear and ignorance gave Devimon a chill down his spine he became excited as his mind raced on the things he wanted to do to the children and their partners.

His hands twitched at every thought he pressed his fingers against the arms of his chair with a grin. "You asked to leave didn't you? Your free to go, if you can pass me that is." Devimon said.

Yami walked over to Vee as Renal joined them "We can all take him! Its still three on one! If we work together we can have the advantage." Yami said.

Teo cried in Usa's arms he felt useless Devimon's words were true, by the gift of the digimental he received was why he was even standing to begin with as he contemplated on his words it became more apparent Teo's body was still reacting to this place and to Devimon. Why was he cursed with such ill fortune? Why was he the one to always be protected? Being as young as he is Teo failed to grasp most situations clearly he was still very much afraid of this world afraid of showing his weakness.

The sickness that no one could tell him exactly what it is had a way of exploiting his weakness and everyone else around him seems to pay for it. Teo began to wonder if he should die maybe then no one would suffer especially Yami. Yami could live a worry free life and concentrate on living instead of protecting a doomed soul. Teo's mind became clouded in doubt.

[Usachan]

Vee frowned at his brother and looked between him and Renal, "Yami, don't be stupid. We are all in Child form if you hadn't noticed. Even if we all attacked at the same time, we wouldn't be able to hurt him enough to get past him. We NEED to evolve. We should think of a plan to get the Digivices back."

As Teo cried in her arms, Usa almost knew the things going on in his head. If she were in his situation, they would be going through hers. "Teo, don't listen to him. He's looking for weaknesses." Usa crouched down in front of him and smiled. "Look how far we've come since we fell onto that mountain and met Vee and Yami. You are strong, believe your Onee-sama okay?"

[Atlas Jiruga]

Atlas looked at Teo. "Teo crying isn't going to solve your problems. So you have a strange illness. Be strong show Devimon that you’re not going to let a petty illness defeat you. Sure it will be hard to overcome but believe in yourself and stand tall." Atlas said.

"We need to start brainstorming on ideas." Renal said. Renal started to pace back and forth. He then went over to Atlas. "Atlas your pretty smart help us think of a plan to get our digivices!" Renal said. "Alright give me a second to think." Atlas said.

Atlas started to think really hard on what they should do. “I have an idea. We will split up renal and I will rumble with Demidevimon and you two try to survive against Devimon until I get our digivices back. If you have to, stall for time.” Atlas said unsure if this would work.

[Teo Sage]

Teo looked at Usa after listening to the words of both Atlas and she.

"Even if you say that, I can't beat it its not something I can just will away the truth is I can't overcome it. Onee-chan, Atlas-kun...gomen I'm just a burden." Teo closed his eyes his fists clenched at his sides shaking in frustration.

Yami turned to look at Teo he began to walk over to him with a clenched fist. Teo turned to look at Yami.

"Yami?" At that moment Yami punched Teo clean in the stomach with all his might. Teo grabbed his stomach as he fell on his knees he was in shock Yami hit him!

"Teo...how dare you give up! Was all that we've been through for nothing!? When Apemon saved you? Was that in vain!? Don't you remember Seadramon? The power that allowed me to defeat him wasn't the power of fear and doubt it was unwavering strength! A strength that the Teo I know would muster up and let it over power anything!" Yami's face became flushed with tears his voice cracked as he yelled.

Teo looked at Yami his left eye closed as a result of the pain in his gut the rest of his face cringing. "Y-Yami...."

"Teo if this thing is that bad then get stronger! If it has no cure find one yourself! Don't give up fight until your body turns to dust! That pain I delivered with my fist, is the same pain I feel in my heart because I can't help you. If you give up, I-I'll lose my most precious friend and I can't live with that I won't let Devimon or anyone walk all over you....even if you won't fight....I DEFINITELY WILL because I have important things to protect!" Yami turned away from everyone practically imitating Teo's exact position before the punch.

Teo slowly stood he looked at his hands then calmly closed them and smiled.

"I am truly a horrible person, mellowing in my own depression I caused you all so much trouble. Gomen, I will not let you fight alone because I also have important things to protect. Yami arigato illness or no I'll fight alongside you till this thing eats me from the inside out!" Teo pumped his fist feeling renewed ignoring the throbbing pain in his stomach.

Yami turned and smiled and nodded at that moment Teo's digivice began to react where DemiDevimon laid the digimental of sincerity began to activate feeling the strength of both digimon and human.
A massive green light erupted from the digivice and this once dark room was lit with a powerful light.

Revealing anything that was once hidden in shadow a green beam shot forth from the screen and the digimental itself appeared in front of Teo.

"This is?" Teo said "Its the digimental that healed you" Yami said with a look of awe bestowed on his face.

"I feel a warmth coming from it....its almost as if...." Teo looked at Yami and they both nodded at one another.

Yami ran to the other digimon then Teo held out the digimental "Digimental Up!"

"V-mon! Aamaa! SHINKAA!" Yami's body became enveloped in light as the digimental dispersed out of the same light a brand new form.

"Yasyamon!" Yami stood tall feeling stronger then ever before. Devimon smiled after witnessing everything take place before him and said one word. "Intresting...."

Teo's face lit up with excitement looking at the brand new Yami "Yami! SO COOL!"

Yami turned to look to where DemiDevimon was resting and with quick speed went to where he is.

"I believe you and your friends have something that belong to us, I'll only ask once.....return them or face the consequences." Yami said pointing his wooden sword at them.

Devimon just sat there watching.

[Usachan]

Usa was shocked when Yami punched Teo, but before she could do anything, Yami started talking. She smiled when it seemed the Digimon got through to Teo.

"Good job Yami." She thought to herself then blinked and shut her eyes tight as a bright light appeared and lit up the dark cave.

"Usa, over there!" Vee called out and pointed to the Digimon that had stolen the Digivices. "Right! Atlas-kun, have Renal-san attack them with Vee." She called to the other boy.

Vee grinned at his brother as he ran towards the Chamelemon. "Way to go brother, you finally Armor Evolved. Now let's show these guys why it's a bad idea to mess with the Chosen Children and their partners!"

Demidevimon looked down. In his lap were several digivices!

"What?!" Demidevimon cried in shock, "Where did those come from?!"

The now revealed Chamelemon above Demidevimon looked chagrined.

"Sorry, sir," He said gruffly, "Delta just brought them over, you said to grab all digihickeys. Beta and Gamma have the girl's and guy's respectively."

The two Chamelemon across the courtyard from Demidevimon nodded slightly. There were a total of five Chamelemon in the courtyard one near the portal, two huddled near Demidevimon, who was himself near the wall, and two spaced evenly near the opposite walls. They looked inconvenienced at their sudden appearance, but remained disciplined and stoic.

Demidevimon was too preoccupied with one particular fact to notice the Yasyamon in front of him.

"But wait..." Said Demidevimon, "I have the sickly brat's digivice here, and those two have those two. Whose Digivice is this?!"

[Dante]

Dante found himself through the weird whatever-it-was in the air behind a guy who seriously looked like someone he didn't ever want to get on the wrong side of. Incidentally, he'd heard something short and annoying ask whose digivice he was holding. The device looked familiar, so he answered the question.

"Mine," he said matter-of-factly, his voice toned by anger.

Salamon jumped down from his arms, sensing the presence of a great darkness. Dante looked around briefly, taking in the faces of more children and digimon partners...

Crap, more people.

...and an odd light not far from where they stood. Salamon glowed, her eyes fixed on her perceived foe.

"Salamon, shinka! Gatomon!"

Dante, while his partner was going mildly berserk, took a step towards a squat little blob with wings, and also a certain something.

"Here's the deal, runt," he said, addressing DemiDevimon, "You give me my digivice back, and I won't wreck your face."

Gatomon took on a fighting stance, facing Devimon. She didn't know much about him, but as a Holy type digimon, her senses were naturally attuned to the presence of a Dark type, particularly one such as this one.

Dante was very curious as to how the digivice managed to function at that kind of range, but he was a little too cheesed off to bother musing. There were all these new people, his digivice got stolen, they were getting into a fight so soon after his partner had been injured, and stupid Shiv was probably gonna show up. His day had only just started, and it was very stressful. It probably wouldn't be the last time he would look something in the eye and want to hurt it, either.

Shiv was close behind Dante through the portal, stopping just beside the larger bully. Yang continued into the back of Devimon's throne.

"Oof!" Cried Yang, "Who put this rock here!"

He looked up at the figure seated upon said rock.

"They need to be more carefuuaaaaaagh!"

Yang leapt back, arms in fighting position. This creatures whole posture was bad news. Yang knew that this was going to be a fight.

Yin was bristling.

Such dark power, such bloodlust! He thought, I must protect Yang!

Shiv mind went into analytical mode, he summed up the positions of all the players and apparent power levels. His mind raced as he looked for a good battle position. Everything in the room had motivations unknown, there would be no victory if all were enemies. So far, there had been no human enemies save the one standing beside him. Shiv would just assume that the humans were allies as their stances spoke of defense against the surrounding champions. At least, Shiv hoped they were champions, he still hadn't gotten used to the level of things around here. It's like this whole place was a giant game! A game where the damage was real... All these thoughts took mere moments to pass.

First things first, Shiv supposed...

"Yang! Yin! He cried, "Retrieval! Yin: 12:30 surround! Yang: Pink Disc!"

Yin's front half swelled while Yang regressed back to Motimon and jumped headfirst into Shiv's open hand. Shiv spun on his left foot, pulling his right leg up as he turned 360 degrees. He threw Yang into the air at Demidevimon as Yin unleashed his attack.

"METAL STRAW!" cried Yin, firing rebar sized pins at the area around the huddled Chamelemon, Devimon and Yasyamon.

" Even I can do this without a digivice! Motimon! Shinka! Gotsumon!" cried Yang in midair aiming at the Demidevimon, "HARDEST PUNCH!"

[Atlas Jiruga]

"My pleasure!" Renal said with a big grin. He was ready to help vee attack the demidevimon. But then when he saw the new tamers arive he was very confused. "Hey who are these people and where did they come from? Are they trying to steal my spotlight?" Renal shouted. "Don't worry about them i'm sure if they are human they are on our side" Atlas said looking their way.

Atlas watched as shiv attacked. "Renal prepare yourself. Those new kids and yami can't handle demidevimon and his accomplices alone. Be ready to attack." Atlas said.

[Inori]

Alchemon came through the portal, taking a moment to assess the situation before slipping into the shadows. He didn't really care who knew he was there or not...he just had no intention of fighting unless he truly needed to.

Inori and Wizardmon were next through the portal, and Wizardmon's reaction was much faster then his partner's. He was in front of Inori in a flash, staff in hand. His attention was very heavily focused on Devimon. This did not bode well at all. A small part of him really desired to express that running may be a good idea, but it was quelled almost as quickly as it came up. The wizard digimon shifted slightly, calculating his best line of attack.

Inori on the other hand was momentarily clueless. There were a lot more people here then she was expecting...and groups were an uncomfortable situation for her. Her partner's reaction served as a wonderful distraction however.

Unconciously her hand went to her pocket where her digivice was. For some reason, the device seemed oddly comforting. Wizardmon probably had some sort of explaination for that, but this was certainly not the time to ask.

Instead, the girl sighed heavily as she eyed Devimon. "At least it isn't a giant bug...."

[Teo Sage]

Teo was surprised to see new people come through the portal which meant good news more help.

"There on our side." Teo said when the new digimon and partners began attacking DemiDevimon and his friends.

Yami nodded and decided to let the newbies handle DemiDevimon Yami jumped directly infront of Devimon.

"How quickly things turned eh Devimon? Now your time has come." Yami said he crossed his two bokutou as they glew a color of purple.

"Ittouryoudan!" Yami released a powerful psychic shockwave directly at Devimon.

As Devimon saw the attack incoming and just gave a devious smile and soon disappeared within the explosion of the attack the throne was turned to pieces after the dust had settled no Devimon.

"Oh....I did not expect your power to rise this much surely that would have damaged me had I not dodged." Devimon said levitating above.

"Is that bond you hold that powerful?" Devimon then laughed uncontrollably holding his head as he stared into the ceiling.

"I wanna break it! I wanna bust it so bad! I want to kill it mercilessly! I can't control myself when I think about it....." Devimon flew as high as he could.

"Now that all the players have assembled, I can kill everyone and take absolute pleasure in the warmth of your blood running down my fingers! The faces I'll force you to form when I'm tearing you in half! I can't contain my excitement!"

At that moment the portal shut closed the doors that once stood dispersed and now there was nothing but a wall. "The final act can commence! HA HA HA HA!"
Suddenly a dark cloud burst forth from Devimon consuming every corner of the room as it passed it was almost as if fear itself manifest as the cloud was bathed in the very thoughts and feelings of Devimon.

Teo grabbed tightly to Usa fearing what was to come. Yami covered his face as the cloud passed him "What is this feeling......? I've never felt a killing intention as deadly as this."

The cloud began to disperse the room shifting, changing its form it became several times larger the walls brazened with skulls the ceiling aligned with thorns stained with red. The floor was a massive square thousands of feet wide at every end at the end of every edge a never ending darkness that seemed to absorb your very soul by simply looking down into its mouth. No matter where you looked there was no sign of exits or entrances, no windows, no light.

The feel of the room could only be described as fear incarnate.

"Welcome heroes of light.......to purgatory!" As Devimon called this room.

The room brought tears to Teo's eyes but he needed to stay strong so he fought them away. Yami looked around feeling sick to his stomach simply by the thick darkness saturating the room. Before he finally eyed Devimon.

Devimon landed several feet from the group holding everyone's digivice that had been previously stolen. "A gift" Devimon said tossing everyone their respective digivice.

"Its more fun to kill you when you try broken hope is the best path to fear I will complete what my followers could not." Devimon said seriously at that moment a blurred vision of every fallen enemy that each of them, the newbies included had defeated prior to their meeting Devimon appeared.

"Thats Mercuremon!" Teo said.

The digimon then became yellow data and absorbed by Devimon's body. Devimon let out a bone chilling cry louder then normal as sound carried in this room even absorbing the Chamelemon in the room. Devimon's body pumped up showing a physical change in his power.

"Any digimon within the puppetry fields worked for me everything was to kill you all. They all had a shard embedded in them when they die their data is preserved for me to absorb as long as the shards remain intact." Devimon said.

A small portal then opened for DemiDevimon "Begone with you, this battle involves you no further. Make your way to the Factory and wait for me there." Devimon said with a toothy smile. "I'll bring you a nice vile of their blood as a reward for your good work."

Yami stood in front of Usa and Teo "No matter what, I'll protect those important to me!" He raised his bokutou ready for the final battle.

"Come heroes, show me why you were chosen!" Devimon bore his claws and flapped his wings which sent a blast of powerful wind at the heroes.
'That was just a gust of wind.....? I can't believe he has grown this powerful....' Yami thought to himself a drop of sweat fell to the floor below.
