Converging in the Realm of Evil

Devimon turned his head at the moment of the lightning paws impact which caused his face to fall downward the quick jerk of his head gave him enough time to notice the incoming Renal and Yang. Thinking quickly as the two approached relatively at the same time.

Being lucky to have wings meant free movement in air quickly reacting Devimon did a complete mid-air back flip avoiding the attacks while bringing his feet in for a kick to the two airborne digimon. While at the peak of this motion Devimon had both hands extended one aimed at Gatomon the other at Yin "Death Hand!" Blasts of powerful unholy energy launched accurately at his intended targets.

After coming back around in a straight position Devimon smirked but something caught his eye a quick toss from the shadows, it came unexpectedly and Devimon couldn't dodge his reaction time however caused him to block with his left wing. Then he smiled

"So the alchemist has a back bone after all? Ha ha ha! Well then I'll be sure to crush you to!" Just as Devimon prepared to attack Alchemon he began to lose altitude.

"What? What is going on!?" Devimon looked at the wing he blocked with it was bubbling and peeling away. His eyes widened he was left with no choice he landed and tore the part of the wing off before the acid had a chance to spread to the rest of the wing and body.

Luckily, Devimon's self experimentation left him without a sense of pain which gave him the ability to endure countless attacks and still fight even if his body became battered this would prove dangerous as pain is warning to the body indicating that something is wrong, he might have been able to salvage his wing had he felt the initial pain of the acid.

Now he was grounded the advantage of land and air combat had been stripped from him by the devil in the shadows. He was enraged "You sneaky bastard, I should have dealt with you before."

Yami ran out from the shadows where Devimon had thought Alchemon was his boukutou crossed Devimon's face became distorted to resemble complete annoyance.

Devimon stretched his arm out grabbing his hands as they crossed "What?" Yami said.

"Didn't know I had this ability did you?" Devimon then retracted his arm pulling in Yami who could not move his hands "Death Claw!" His other claw readied to impale Yami.

"YAMI!" Teo cried.

As Yami drew closer to the claws before he could become impaled he arched his body upward dodging the claw and kicking Devimon in his face. Devimon let go and stumbled back wards.

Yami stood up "You didn't think I was that helpless did you?" Yami retorted.

Devimon clenched his teeth.

"Twin! Dont be so reckless!" Vee called out as he launched his Fire Rockets at Devimon's back.

Usa smiled in relief as she saw that Yami was okay. She looked at Teo and gave him the V sign. "We have a big advantage now." she gestured to the torn off wing.

[Dante]

Gatomon may have been in free fall, but she was far from helpless. As it happened, the attack was streaking in from her left. She turned to look, then swung her tail.

"Cat Tail!"

Devimon's attack was deflected by her glowing tail ring and impacted the wall just above and behind her. She continued to fall, turning herself in the air so as to land on her feet, and impacted something much softer than she'd expected. She looked up directly into the eyes of her partner.

"Hi Dante," she said, a little bemused.

"Hi there. Having fun?" he countered, stifling a chuckle.

"I guess," she said, sounding more unsure.

She paused a moment, looking away, then met her partner's gaze again, this time with conviction.

"Dante, I have to finish this. You didn't see into his heart. He has to be destroyed."

Making a mental note to ask her about that later, he put her down.

"Go get 'im, then. Don't let up until it's done."

Gatomon needed no persuasion on that score. She raced forward with all the strength in her little body, approaching the downed virus. It had just stumbled backward, having been kicked in the face. She leapt for her foe, claw outstretched.

"Lightning Paw!"

Yang reacted quickly as soon as the virus had the thought to counterattack. His hand shot out, blazing with holy energy, and he met the kick with a punch of his own. The shockwave threw him backwards, but he though he might have caused a little damage. He did a backwards flip and landed on his feet, sliding a little.

Yin took the dark attack on his back, but due to his speed at the time it glanced off his armor, minimizing the damage. That isn't to say it didn't hurt. A champion level attack against a rookie, even a glancing one, was enough to cause severe damage to Yin's armor. Yin cried out and collapsed, sliding to Shiv's feet.

Yang's eyes blazed with confidence and power, but his left knee was a little shaky. This form was taking up too much energy, and Yang felt he must soon revert or suffer consequences. His eyes looked aside at Shiv and Yin for only a moment, and he broke the sync to keep Shiv from knowing.

Shiv stepped back as he lost the sync.

"Yang!" He shouted, unsure, "What are you doing?!"

Shiv dropped to one knee, exhausted from the rush, his injuries roaring back to the fore of his mind. The light surrounding him was gone, he didn't have the tactical read on the situation. Yet still he looked everywhere, keeping tabs on the battle. His eyes glanced to Yin, trying to see how badly damaged he was. Yin was breathing, and one of his eyes was barely open, looking straight at his brother. Shiv looked up as well, determined to be of use no matter what.

"Be careful, Yang," Shiv said to himself, "I don't know what you're doing."

Yang did. He put his hands to his forehead, creating a square out of his fingers, with his jewel set in the center.

"Ring laser!" He shouted.

Holy energy burst forth toward the virus in a wide circle, howling through the air as though sensing the viral data and wishing for its deletion.

The light brightened the whole room, casting deep shadows behind all within. Shiv shielded his eyes with his hand.

[Atlas Jiruga]

Atlas looked at Inori after he spoke. "Maybe...You could be right." Atlas began to think that Renal could be doing this just to protect him. Renal was hit by devimon's counter. Renal fell to the ground. He got up, dusted himself off and shook his head. "Renal!" Atlas screamed as loud as he could. Renal didn't respond. He looked at Atlas then back at Devimon and growled.

Renal waited for an opening. After everyone's attack Renal would rush in for a suprise attack. He would come up from behind and use a striking barrage.

[Inori]

Inori smiled briefly at Atlas before returning her attention to her partner.

Alchemon cackled from the shadows. "I highly doubt your abilities at this point Devimon. More so then before." That said, the alchemist digimon hurled another vial at Devimon with very little care if it might accidnetly hit someone should they get in the way of his attack.

Wizardmon muttered something under his breath, now holding the orb of electricity in his hand. The right moment to attack was certainly taking its time....
